"Perhaps we now understand why Jason Holder is the No 1 ranked Test all-rounder in the world.

Holder enjoyed a day of almost non-stop glory and satisfaction by seizing six wickets and then watching his batsmen consolidate his team’s strong position ..."
HOLDER-ING ON West Indies firmly on top in first Test as brilliant Jason Holder takes six England wickets
"It’s because there is a huge gap between the way you expect Holder to bowl and the way he actually does. He is a 6ft 7in man who bowls like he is in late middle‑age, slinging down savvy military medium, making the ball move a little this way and that. It’s resolutely unsexy. And he is so ungainly with it, with an approach something like a galumphing giraffe and a delivery stride that makes him look like he’s slipped on a damp patch ..."
Stokes stung as first clash of all-round captains goes West Indies' way

"Usually, when we think fast bowling, we think speed. More so when we think Caribbean fast bowling. Holder is the tallest fast bowler in Test cricket. He is strong. Yet he is not quick. And so the perception builds about him, that he's somehow lesser.

Yet fast bowling is not just speed. Control, discipline and, most importantly, skills - it is this package that makes a fast bowler complete and this that has made Holder one of the best fast bowlers in all conditions, on any continent, with any ball in the past few years ..."
Guess who? Jason Holder the best one-change fast bowler in Test cricket since 2018
