Rain stops play with Zimbabwe 169-4. Gabriel dismissed Masakadza off a no ball which is his perennial problem. Masakadza went on to make a century.

Blackwood is a mediocre test batsman IMHO. I think he has the potential to be an outstanding t20s batsman. If he has a good BPL followed by a full season in the CPL next season could see him have a break out season in this format. Hopefully no test series will clash with the CPL next year allowing Blackwood to show his wares in t20s cricket.

Too often a test series clashes with the CPL preventing Blackwood from making the switch.

In relation to Captain Holder's alleged conspiracy to derail the career of his specialist spinner, I noted the following:

Holder backs 'main man' Bishoo to fire again

So far as the conditions and bowling attack choices are concerned, I noted this:
"While the mercury was as high as 38 degrees Celsius earlier this week, temperatures plummeted in the days before the game and dropped as low as 13 degrees today ..."[/i]

Does anyone know if "artic conditions" are generally associated the with the success of part-time off-spinners or specialist wrist spinners?
