At Providence, Guyana comprehensively beat the Windwards by eight wickets. Pacer Keemo Paul took 6-57 to dismiss the Windwards for 209 all out, Alick Athanaze topscoring with 66. Following on 245 runs behind, the Windwards batted better in their second innings, making 361 all out on the back a captain's innings of 139 from Kirk Edwards. He was supported by veteran opener Devon Smith (65) and his nephew, wicketkeeper Dennis Smith (67). Paul took 4-72 in the second innings. Set 117 for victory, Guyana chased down the target for the loss of two wickets, Shimron Hetmyer making 61.

In the cellar battle at Sabina Park, Trinidad beat Jamaica by 157 runs. In their second innings, Trinidad made 233 all out, nightwatchman Khary Pierre topscoring with 46 against left-arm spinner Nikita Miller, who took 7-87. Set 325 for victory, Jamaica collapsed to 167 all out to the spin attack of Imran Khan (5-59) and Pierre (3-29). Opening batsman Oraine Williams topscored with 56.

As the fifth round got started yesterday, the Leewards bowled out defending champions Guyana cheaply at Providence. Spinners Rahkeem Cornwall (4-70) and Damion Jacobs (3-15) skittled the hosts out for 196 all out, allrounder Chris Barnwall topscoring with 58. At stumps, the Leewards were 57-3 in reply.

It was a similar story at Tarouba, where medium pacer Kevin Stoute took 6-35 to dismiss Trinidad for a mere 170 all out, Yannick Cariah topscoring with 36. In reply, Barbados were 52-3 at stumps.

At St George's, the Windwards were 263-6 at the end of the first day's play, thanks mainly to a knock of 124 from veteran opener Devon Smith, supported by Kavem Hodge, who made 56. Spinner Dennis Bulli has taken five wickets so far for Jamaica.

The match in Georgetown continued to be a low-scoring affair, as Guyana bowled out the Leewards for 175 all out on the second day's play. Pacers Clinton Pestano and Romario Shepherd took 4-50 and 3-29 respectively to give Guyana a 21-run lead on first innings. Terrence Warde topscored with 30. Batting a second time, Guyana were 76-2 at stumps.

Runs were also hard to get at the Brian Lara stadium, where Barbados were in command at the halfway stage of the match. Barbados crawled to 215 all out, thanks to 47s from Shamar Springer and Nicholas Kirton. Pacers Anderson Phillip (3-72) and Odean Smith (3-32) did the damage for Trinidad. Trailing by 45 runs, Trinidad were reeling at 62-6 going into today's third day. Pacer Marquino Mindley has taken four wickets to date.

In Grenada, spinner Dennis Bulli, coming into the team for rested veteran Nikita Miller, took 5-94 to skittle the Windwards out for 285 all out. In reply, Opener Chadwick Walton hit 113 not out to pilot Jamaica to 212-4 at the end of the second day. Brandon King made 52, while pacer Ray Jordan has taken two wickets to date.

In a low-scoring game at Tarouba, Barbados beat Trinidad by seven wickets with a day to spare. Pacers Marquino Mindley (4-47) and Shamar Springer (4-24) skittled Trinidad out for an embarrassing 103 all out, tailender Odean Smith topscoring with 28. Set a paltry target of 59, Barbados limped to victory for the loss of three wickets.

At Providence, offspinner Rahkeem Cornwall took 6-70 to dismiss Guyana for 175, tailender Clinton Pestano topscoring with 46. Set a challenging 291 for victory, the Leewards were 32-1 at stumps on the third day's play.

At St George's, spinner Larry Edwards took 4-79 to bowl Jamaica out for 272 all out. Leading by 13 on first innings, the Windwards struggled to 198-9 at the end of the penultimate day's play. Kavem Hodge topscored with 52, while spinner Dennis Bulli has taken four wickets to date.

In Grenada, Jamaica notched up their first win of this season's PCL with a four-wicket victory over the Windwards. Spinner Dennis Bulli took 5-54 to dismiss the Windwards for 198 all out. Chasing 212 for victory, the visitors made the target for the loss of six wickets, led mainly by opener Chadwick Walton (79) and Brandon King (56). Part-timer Tyrone Theophile took 4-44.

As the sixth round got started yesterday, a total of 20 wickets fell on the opening day at Queen's Park Oval. Guyana's four-prong pace attack of Keemo Paul (3-26), Clinton Pestano (3-37), Romario Shepherd (2-23) and Raymon Reifer (2-20) combined to dismiss Trinidad for a paltry 108 all out, TIon Webster topscoring with 19. Guyana fared little better in their first innings, limping to 150 all out, Paul making 66 not out, but with little support from the batsmen. Legspinner Imran Khan took 3-22, and there were two wickets each for pacers Ravi Rampaul, Anderson Phillip and Odean Smith.

At Kensington Oval, veteran opener Devon Smith hit 146 not out to lead the Windwards to 325-5 against Barbados at stumps on the first day's play. He received support from Sunil Ambris, who made 79.

In Basseterre, 13 wickets fell on the first day, as veteran pacer Jerome Taylor took 5-28 to dismiss the Leewards for 204 all out. Wicketkeeper Jahmar Hamilton topscored with 65. Jamaica were 111-3 at stumps, led by an unbeaten half century from Jermaine Blackwood.

At Port-of-Spain, trailing by 42 runs on first innings, Trinidad replied strongly in the second, reaching 264-5 at stumps at the end of the second day's play. Veteran Jason Mohammed hit 79 not out, and there were 40s from Jeremy Solozano, Joshua da Silva, and Imran Khan, who was also not out at the close. Medium pacer Raymon Reifer has taken two wickets for Guyana to date.

At Warner Park, a total of 21 wickets fell on the second day. Legspinner Damion Jacobs took 5-42 to dismiss Jamaica for 190 all out, Jermaine Blackwood topscoring with 69. Leading by 14 runs on first innings, the Leewards did even worse the second time around, bundled out for a mere 142 all out by pacers Jerome Taylor (4-31), Rovman Powell (3-43) and Derval Green (2-31). Allrounder Rahkeem Cornwall topscored with 44 not out, while wicketkeeper Jahmar Hamilton made 41. Chasing what could be a challenging 157 for victory, Jamaica were 92-4 at the close, Chadwick Walton topscoring so far with 27. Jacobs has taken all four wickets to fall in the second innings to date.

It was a totally different picture in Bridgetown at the halfway stage of their match. Veteran opener Devon Smith made 199, with support from his nephew and wicketkeeper, Dennis Smith, who made 66, as the Windwards declared on 470-8. Pacers Miguel Cummins, Chemar Holder and Shamar Springer took two wickets each. Barbados were 154-4 going into today's third day, thanks largely to a knock of 64 not out from Jonathan Carter.

In their second innings on the third day's play, Trinidad made 317 all out, led by a knock of 83 from Jason Mohammed, supported by 46 from allrounder Imran Khan. The wicket-takers for Guyana were pacers Keemo Paul (4-81) and Raymon Reifer (4-64). Set 276 to win, Guyana were bundled out for 182 all out by Khan (3-45), while there were two wickets each for Anderson Phillip, Bryan Charles and Odean Smith.

In St Kitts, Jamaica squeezed out a narrow one-wicket win over the Leewards on Day Three. Chasing a modest target of 157, Jamaica just made it home, thanks largely to Assad Fudadin, who topscored with 36, while Kenroy Williams guided the visitors home with a knock of 21 not out. Spinners Damion Jacobs (6-62) and Rahkeem Cornwall (3-50) did the damage for the Leewards.

The match at Kensington Oval was the only one to make it into today's fourth and final day. Spinner Larry Edwards took 5-67, and he was supported by pacers Josh Thomas (3-41) and Ray Jordan (2-45), as the Windwards dismissed Barbados for 253 all out, Jonathan Carter topscoring with 64. Following on 217 runs behind, Barbados limped to 157-6 at stumps, still another 60 runs away from making the Windwards bat again. Shane Moseley has topscored for Barbados so far with 51.
