In Bridgetown, the Windwards beat Barbados by eight wickets. Kavem Hodge took 3-79, and there were two wickets each for Larry Edwards and Ray Jordan, as Barbados were bowled out for 250 all out. Set a target of 34 for victory, the Windwards limped to victory for the loss of two wickets.

Here's the team of the round after six rounds.

The standard of batting has fallen so badly that I've had to drop the bar to over 350 runs and a low average of over 35. Bowlers had to take at least 20 wickets and average under 25.

On the opening day of the seventh round, Jamaica piled up 320-8 at Providence, thanks to half-centuries from Brandon King (51) and tailender Derval Green (59 not out). Pacer Sherfane Rutherford has taken three wickets so far for Guyana.

At Kingstown, the Leewards made 229-5, with half-centuries from Montcin Hodge (61) and Kasey Carty (54). Pacer Ray Jordan has captured three wickets to date for the Windwards.

At Bridgetown, veterans Lendl Simmons (138) and Jason Mohammed (121) piloted Trinidad to 316-8. Pacer Marquino Mindley has three wickets so far for Barbados.

On the second day's play at Providence, tailender Derval Green hit 86 to propel Jamaica to 358 all out against left-arm spinner Veerasammy Permaul (3-76) and pacer Sherfane Rutherford (3-52). In reply, captain Leon Johnson hit 58 and Vishaul Singh 61 as Guyana closed on 203-5.

At Arnos Vale, the match was still evenly balanced at the half-way stage. Pacer Ray Jordan took 4-47 and spinner Larry Edwards 4-73 to dismiss the Windwards for 271 all out. In their turn at bat, the Leewards reached 225-7 at stumps, led by a knock of 53 from Alick Athanaze. Sheno Berridge and Rahkeem Cornwall have taken three wickets each for the Windwards to date.

At Kensington Oval, pacer Marquino Mindley took 5-78 to dismiss Trinidad for 358 all out. In reply, Barbados were 238-7 going into today's third day, depending on tailender Ashley Nurse, who was 71 not out overnight. Opener Shane Moseley made 56, while spinner Yannick Cariah has taken four wickets so far.

On the penultimate day at Providence, a total of 15 wickets fell as defending champions Guyana took command. There were 40s from Anthony Bramble and Chris Barnwell as Guyana posted 321 all out in their first innings, pacer Jerome Taylor taking 3-27 and spinner Dennis Bulli 3-91. Despite leading by 37 on first innings, Jamaica crashed to 132 all out their second time around, medium pacer Raymon Reifer taking 3-36 and left-arm spinner Gudakesh Motie 3-11. Assad Fudadin topscored with 24.

On the third day's play in St Vincent, 13 wickets fell. Sheno Berridge took 4-42 and Rahkeem Cornwall 4-48 to dismiss the Windwards for 230 all out, Leading by 41 runs on first innings, the Leewards were bowled out for 199 all out by Kavem Hodge (5-41). Devon Thomas topscored with 43.

In Bridgetown, Trinidad were in command of their match, going into today's final day. Spinner Yannick Cariah took 5-59 to dismiss Barbados for 282 all out, Ashley Nurse and Tevin Walcott offering a rearguard action with 75 and 63 respectively. Leading by 76 on first innings, Trinidad posted an additional 247-6 declared in their second. Captain and wicketkeeper Denesh Ramdin hit 86, and there were 65s from Josh da Silva and Lendl Simmons, while offspinner Nurse took 3-62.

At Providence, defending champions Guyana marched inexorably towards yet another PCL title. Chasing a modest total of 170, the hosts reached the target for the loss of just three wickets, captain Leon Johnson leading the way with 61 not out. For Jamaica, there was one wicket each for pacers Jerome Taylor, Derval Green and Kenroy Williams.

In Kingstown, the Leewards pulled off a narrow 13-run win over the Windwards. Chasing 241 for victory, the Windwards were bowled out for 228 all out by offspinner Rahkeem Cornwall (5-79) and pacer Quinton Boatswain, who took three wickets for five runs. Sunil Ambris made 102 not out, and he received support from Kavem Hodge (65), but the other batsmen were missing in action.

At Kensington Oval, Barbados pulled off a mammoth batting effort, chasing down the target of 324 for the loss of six wickets. Jonathan Carter hit 149 not out, and he received support from Shamar Springer (66) and Tevin Walcott (48 not out). The best bowler for Trinidad was pacer Dennis St Clair, who took 2-59.

As the eighth round got underway yesterday, a total of 16 wickets fell at Sabina Park. Debutant offspinner Akim Frazer took 4-69 to dismiss defending champions Guyana for 158 all out, while veteran pacer Jerome Taylor took 3-24. Wicketkeeper Anthony Bramble topscored for the visitors with 36. In reply, Jamaica had limped to 108-6 at stumps, allrounder Derval Green topscoring so far with 40. Pacer Clinton Pestano has taken four wickets so far for Guyana.

In Kingstown, 12 wickets fell on the first day. Pacer Josh Thomas took 3-55 and spinner Larry Edwards 3-29 to bowl Barbados out for 215 all out. Wicketkeeper Tevin Walcott topscored with 66 for the tourists. At the close, the Windwards were 29-2.

In Basseterre, the Leewards put up an imposing 296-5, on the back of 60s from Devon Thomas (67), wicketkeeper Jahmar Hamilton (68), and Terrence Warde (64 not out). Former West Indies opener Kieran Powell's wretched run continued, as he was out for five. Bowling for Trinidad, Daniel St Clair and Khary Pierre have taken two wickets each to date.

Poor batting was once again a feature of the PCL, as Jamaica beat leaders Guyana by eight wickets with two days to spare. A total of 20 wickets fell on the second day. Pacers Clinton Pestano (4-31) and Romario Shepherd (3-30) dismissed Jamaica for only 139 all out in their first innings, Assad Fudadin topscoring with 43. Leading by a mere 19 on first innings, Guyana collapsed to 138 all out in the second, wicketkeeper Anthony Bramble topscoring with 34. The damage was done by pacer Jerome Taylor (4-26) and offspinner Akim Frazer (4-65). Chasing a target of 158 for victory, Jamaica did it for the loss of two wickets, with unbeaten knocks from Brandon King (66) and Jermaine Blackwood (72).

Barbados took command on the second day of their match at Arnos Vale. Left-arm spinner Jomel Warrican took 8-45 to dismiss the Windwards for a mere 138 all out, Kimani Melius topscoring with 50. Leading by 77 runs on first innings, Barbados limped to 135-6 in their second, led mainly by a knock of 53 from Shane Moseley.

The game at Warner Park was still in the balance at the halfway stage of the match. Terrence Warde hit 83 and allrounder Rahkeem Cornwall 62, to lead the Leewards to 365 all out, against spinners Khary Pierre (4-110) and Yannick Cariah (3-25). In reply, Trinidad were 222-7, Imran Khan topscoring with an unbeaten half-century, while pacer Alzarri Joseph has taken three wickets to date.

In St Vincent, on the third day's play, Ray Jordan took 3-31 and Alick Athanaze 3-37 to dismiss Barbados for 192 all out in their second innings. Set a target of 270 to win, the Windwards were well-placed on 181-3 at stumps, led by Kavem Hodge, who has hit an unbeaten half-century.

In St Kitts, on the penultimate day Trinidad made 329 all out in their first innings, led by knocks of 86 from Imran Khan and 60 from Jason Mohammed. Pacer Alzarri Joseph took 3-88 and offspinner Rahkeem Cornwall 3-86. Leading by 36 runs on first innings, the Leewards were 159-3 going into today's final day. Opener Montcin Hodge has topscored so far with 57.
