October is the tail-end of the hurricane season, and usually the rainiest month in the Caribbean. Hence, three matches were washed out and abandoned this weekend. They were Guyana vs Windwards at Queen's Park Oval, Trinidad vs West Indies 'B' at the Brian Lara stadium, and CCC vs USA at Cave Hill.

At Kensington Oval, Barbados left it too late in the tournament to secure a consolation 39-run win over Jamaica. Jonathan Carter hit 82, Shamarh Brooks 60, and Leniko Boucher 46, as Barbados piled up 246-5 against one wicket each for Jerome Taylor, Reynard Leveridge, Derval Green and Chris Lamont. Pacers Shamar Springer (5-30) and Keon Harding (3-58) then dismissed Jamaica for 207 all out, the only batsmen offering any resistance being Andre McCarthy with 83 and Nkrumah Bonner with 41.

Jamaica have already qualified for the semi-finals, while Barbados will not advance to the knockout stage of the competition they are hosting.
