Up until now, it was beyond a shadow of doubt that the WETT coming out of the West Indies was, barring the scab sides, the 1928-1935 sides. Now, sadly, we have a Test team that's so bad it rivals the rubbish teams of the pre-WWII era.

For starters, let's compare the batting....

Here's a comparison of Test batting averages between our current Test players and those who played more than five Tests between 1928 and 1935.

Kraigg Brathwaite 36 - Frank Martin 28 = Brathwaite
Kieran Powell 27 - Clifford Roach 30 = Roach
Shai Hope 29 - George Headley 60 = Headley
Shimron Hetmyer 25 - James Sealy 28 = Sealy
Sunil Ambris 17 - George Grant 25 = Grant
Roston Chase 33 - Rolph Grant 22 = Chase
Shane Dowrich 28 - Ivan Barrow 19 = Dowrich
Jason Holder 30 - Learie Constantine 19 = Holder

Tied at 4-4...however, at least Headley carried the pre-WWII batting like the legendary Atlas. There's no-one in this current side who can even dream of averaging 60 in Test cricket.

Look wha' we come to, eh?
