In international T20 cricket since the 2014 World T20 tournament, the West Indies have failed to score off 48.3 per cent of deliveries, the most of any major nation. Yet the West Indies made up for this by scoring sixes with far more frequency than anyone else: 6.45 per cent of their deliveries faced have been hit for six. The next best record for one of the elite nations is New Zealand, with 5.88 per cent.

More than anyone else, the West Indies have grasped the logic of T20, and how scoring in multiples of six can render a run saved in the field here, or a single turned into a two there, utterly trivial.
