Fi Davey and dem. And we In di progressive movement shared a lot of good times with dem man deh. He helped turn many of the countless ideas we presented, such as the PLC, Sagicor Academy, u15 tours to England every year, women's t20 competition, link up with the US and Canada, di COTR revolution etc into a reality and we are grateful for that. But sadly di more power deh got, di tougher they were to deal with. Davey loved his position as president, and was never shy in letting people know who di "boss" was. And that was his mistake, because no one man is "di boss", and because we win world cups under dem watch he felt he could push di boundaries. Too many of our proposals were left pon di table, and too many excuses were made as to why deh cyant happen. And at di same time this was occurring, we were building a relationship with Caricom/Skerrit. And once he lost our support, well, you just seen what happened :D . When YOUR OWN COUNTRY even stab you In di FRONT, then you know you In trouble

Never doubt di ambitions of di PM duncies. But fi we this cricket ting would have really gawn down di drain, FACT. Now we gine see what these new guys have to say now. You hear dem already talking about re-opening di HPC? HMMM I wonder who put those terms pon di table before di election? I guess we'll never know  .

Hopefully di WUKLESS JAMAICANS cyan put Davey pon dem cricket board because it doan look like deh gine win a title anytime soon!!!..although di way Davey vex with dem I tink he might move country to rhatid

p.s. I hope MassaMike has recovered from him country getting LICKED DONG di other day aswell!!!.."Worst team ever"? :? KISS A SKUNT!!!

FORWARD!!! 8-)

It was a long ride...of corruption!

Too much champagne, yachts, and snouts in the trough at the WICB, right Afro? Boasting about money you lot are getting from the players in the IPL, and where has it all gone? Now, the corrupt WICB is in such dire financial straits that they can't even afford to send an 'A' team to Bangladesh! This is a new low....

The New Zealand U-19 team had postponed their tour of Bangladesh earlier and this time West Indies A team’s upcoming tour of Bangladesh has been thrown into doubt, although Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury informed that it was not a matter of concern over security.

“There is some doubt,” the CEO informed while talking to reporters. “The West Indies cricket board has some limitations. Its not only the Bangladesh tour, discussion is going on about a few other tours as well. Nothing has been decided yet,” he added.

Nizamuddin informed that the tour was not in doubt due to security issues. “Its not a matter of security. They have some ongoing internal issues and its not upto me to talk about those things. A board might go through bad times. It is true for all so it is not a problem specific to them,” he reiterated.

It is understood that West Indies cricket board is going through a financial crisis which is the possible reason for them trying to opt out of the tour.

Floyd Reifer has replaced Richard Pybus as West Indies' coach just weeks ahead of the World Cup.

Reifer, who was briefly captain of West Indies in 2009, has been appointed to the role in an interim capacity following a review of West Indies' coaching and selection policies led by newly-elected Cricket West Indies (CWI) president, Ricky Skerritt.

The entire West Indies selection panel has also been dismissed. Courtney Browne, who had been a selector since 2013 and head selector since 2016, has been sacked with Robert Haynes, who played eight ODIs for West Indies between 1989 and 1991, appointed as interim head selector in his place.

"We have found it necessary to immediately adjust our selection policy to become more open, inclusive, and player-centric," Skerritt said. "I am therefore pleased to confirm that we have terminated the old embedded selection policy which secretly, but actively, victimized some players and banished them from selection consideration."

While Pybus was only appointed to the role of interim head coach in January and was at the helm when West Indies recently defeated England in a Test series, his dismissal is no surprise. He had ruffled many feathers during his time as West Indies' director of cricket - University of West Indies vice-chancellor Sir Hilary Beckles recently described Pybus' decision to shut down the West Indies' high-performance centre in Barbados as "deeply troubling" and "an act of vandalism" - and was seen as closely aligned to former CWI president, Dave Cameron.

Indeed, it is understood that despite Jimmy Adams, West Indies' director of cricket, not including Pybus' name among a not so shortlist of 11 suitable candidates for the interim position in December, Cameron decided to appoint him anyway.

The WICB corruption and dictatorial behaviour all coming out now....

1) The Browne selection panel victimised and blackballed certain players, including Big Bravo and Pollard.

2) Adams did not have Pybus on his list of suitable candidates, but Cameron went over his head and unilaterally appointed Pybus.

3) Pybus shut down the high performance centre in Barbados.

This is the foolishness that AfCrow was a part of...snouts at the trough, as they undermine West Indies cricket.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA I see MASSA MIKE and him ENGLISH rass still spreading lies from his WATFORD couch? What a surprise!!! :D

1. Funny how you were BEGGING di SELFISH primadonnas to turn dem backs pon we cricket and go play lick it cricket. But now your stupid skunt find out dat WE GET A PIECE OF DI PIE, you wah ball? I thought you wanted them to leave?

2. Do you expect everyone who is helping to LIFT UP this great institution that is West Indian cricket to not get compensated at all? This is a big responsibility in di region which comes with many days of not seeing your family and many pressures and problems to deal with. WE ARE ON DI GROUND WORKING and deserve all di benefits that come with it. Where is your FAIRWEATHER rass?

3. Davey went over other peoples heads yes, and where is he now? We didn't like the move and he paid for it. What more do you want exactly?

4. The HPC closing was a money issue. The PCL, boys u17s, girls u19s, women's t20 etc all needed to be developed and so resources were tight. RP wanted to create a program to develop players that each territory could implement on their own terms. We disagreed but when the money is put elsewhere then we had to give them a chance to be proven right or wrong. Things will be changing now though as far as the HPC is concerned because we have we own ground now  .

5. The Digicel deal ended, coupled with having to hose SL and Bang, made last year a tough financial year. But this year after we beat up your country and have India coming to town too, along with many West Indian's IPL cuts, Di world cup fees etc money rolling In now to rhatid 8-)

6. "Undermine West Indies cricket"? YOU MEAN DI FOUR WORLD CUPS we win since di Progressive Movement came into power? Yeah, what a terrible record. How many world cups England win since 2012 duncy?

And we not done yet. More COTR yutes coming to put licks pon massa mike and him senior boyfriends!!!..just wait and see!!.

FORWARD!!

And hear we go again, while AfCrow and his corrupt colleagues continue to feed at the trough, the West Indies once again continue to perform poorly at the World Cup....
8-)
Just changing the personnel, such as the president, is not going to solve the problem, because corrupt leeches like AfCrow continue to drain West Indies cricket of its lifeblood.
What is needed is a complete overhaul of the administration of the WICB. Implement the Patterson Report with regards to governance!
