SAF failed to take to the track for the 400, as originally planned....

'"I would go and run but I didn't want to go out and jog, I wanted to put out my best effort so I just decided to pull out of the race," she said. World championships finalist Anneisha McLaughlin clocked 53.78 seconds for victory in the event ahead of Olympic 100m silver medallist and MVP teammate Sherone Simpson in a time of 54.33 seconds. Simpson said she felt sore but was pleased to have finished the race without any mishap."I'm satisfied. The workload coming into this race was a lot and I'm just happy I finished the race healthy and just looking forward to the rest of the season," she told the Sunday Observer. Schillonie Calvert of Racer's Track Club posted 55.73 seconds for third. The men's equivalent went to Kenroy Anderson of Racer's Track Club in 47.73 seconds ahead of his training partners Josef Robertson, 48.02, and Rolando Palacio, 48.21. Leading 400m hurdler and last year's Diamond League winner Kaliese Spencer clocked two minutes 08.77 for victory in the women's 800m Open ahead of Stephanie McPherson of UTech in 2:11.73 and Christine Day of UTech, 2:11.94.'

"The other record on the track came in the men's 110 metres hurdles as former Morant Bay High hurdler, Hansel Parchment, competing for the University of West Indies (UWI), clocked 14.00 seconds to erase Markino Buckley's mark of 14.25 seconds, which was created in 2006.
