A Jamaican youngster won gold in the discus on the opening day at Lille, France, yesterday....

Despite the loss of favourite Odane Skeen to injury, his Jamaican compatriot O'dail Scott won the men's 100 final in a time of 10.51, with silver Kazuma Oseto of Japan (10.52), and bronze to France's Michael-Meba Zeze (10.57).

With Todd's win today, Jamaica now holds the male 100m title in all major world events.
