There will be a low turnout from Caribbean athletes at the Oslo Diamond League meet on Thursday, where Jamaica's Veronica Campbell-Brown will take on Murielle Ahoure of the Ivory Coast, American Jessica Young, and Britain's Asha Philip over the women's 100m.

In the women's 400m hurdles, Jamaican Kaliese Spencer will go up against Britain's Elidh Child, Czechs Zuzana Hejnova and Denisa Rosolova, and Americans Georganne Moline and Tiffany Williams, while Trinidadian Cleopatra Borel will take part in the women's shot putt.

Kaliese Spencer of Jamaica continued her domination of the women's 400m hurdles today, clocking a world-leading 54.15 to pip American Georganne Moline (54.29) at the Oslo Diamond League meet.

Bahamian Steven Gardiner was impressive in winning the men's 400m in a personal best of 44.64.

Murielle Ahoure of the Ivory Coast won the women's 100m with a time of 11.03, to win ahead of Jamaican Veronica Campbell-Brown (11.08).

Jamaican superstar Usain Bolt will make his first appearance on the Diamond League circuit when he runs in the 200m in New York, against compatriots Rasheed Dwyer and Julian Forte, as well as Zharnel Hughes of Anguilla, and Panama's Alonso Edward.

In the men's 100m, Jamaicans Nickel Ashmeade, Kemar Bailey-Cole and Nesta Carter will take on Trinidadian Keston Bledman and American Tyson Gay.

There will be two women's 400m races, featuring Jamaicans Steph MacPherson, Christine Day, Anastasia Leroy, Sophia Smellie and Novlene Williams-Mills, and Bahamian Shaunae Miller, up against Americans Natasha Hastings and Francena McCrorory. The men's equivalent will feature Trinidadians Machel Cedenio and Renny Quow, as well as Winston George of Guyana.

The Fly Jamaica women's 100m will feature Jamaicans Schillonie Calvert and Samantha Henry-Robinson, as well as Trinidad's Kelly-Ann Baptiste, while Anthonique Strachan of the Bahamas and Jamaica's Sherone Simpson will run in the women's 200m.

Trinidadian Jehue Gordon and Annsert Whyte of Jamaica will take part in the men's 400m hurdles, while Jamaica's Williams sisters, Shermaine and Danielle, will be in the 100m hurdles, and Shane Brathwaite of Barbados will feature in the 110m hurdles.

Levern Spencer of St Lucia will take part in the women's high jump, while Jamaican O'dayne Richards will participate in the men's shot putt.

There was a Caribbean 1-2-3 in the men's 200m at the New York Diamond League yesterday, with Jamaican superstar Usain Bolt labouring to a 20.29 win, over Zharnel Hughes of Anguilla (20.32) and Julian Forte, also of Jamaica, third in 20.46. All three sprinters come from Glen Mills' Track Racers club....

American Tyson Gay won the men's 100m in an unimpressive time of 10.12, just ahead of Trinidad's Keston Bledman (10.13) and Nesta Caster of Jamaica (10.15). The women's equivalent was won by English Gardner of the US in 11 seconds flat, ahead of Jamaican Samantha Henry-Robinson (11.08) and Trinidad's Kelly-Ann Baptiste (11.19).

The women's 200m was won by Tori Bowie of the US in an impressive 22.24, way ahead of Nigerian Blessing Okagbare (22.67) and Jamaica's Sherone Simpson (22.69).

American Nelvis won the 100m hurdles in 12.66, ahead of Britain's Tiffany Porter (12.81), and danielle Williams of Jamaica (12.89). Francena McCrorory of the US won the women's 400m in 49.87, ahead of Bahamian Shaunae Miller (50.66) and Jamaica's Steph MacPherson (50.84).

Jamaican O'dayne Richards came fourth in the men's shot putt with a throw of 21.00, while St Lucia's Lavern Spencer was third in the women's high jump with 1.91.

After the withdrawal of Jamaican superstar Usain Bolt with injury to his left leg, his compatriots Asafa Powell and Nesta Carter will go up against Kim Collins of St Kitts-Nevis, American Mike Rodgers, and Frenchman Jimmy Vicault over 100m at the Paris Diamond League on Saturday.

In the women's equivalent, Jamaicans Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Natasha Morrison will take on American English Gardner, Nigeria's Blessing Okagbare, and Dafne Schippers of the Netherlands.

The men's 400m will feature Kirani James of Grenada up against Jamaicans Rusheen McDonald and Edino Steele, and David Verburg of the United States.

Jamaicans Kimberley Williams will take part in the women's triple jump, Janeive Russell in the women's 400m hurdles, Jason Morgan in the men's discus, and Damar Forbes in the men's long jump. Cleopatra Borel of Trinidad will participate in the women's shot putt.

Jamaican Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce clocked a new world-leading 10.74 to win the women's 100m at the Paris Diamond League on Saturday, to finish ahead of Blessing Okagbare of Nigeria (10.80), and American English Gardner (10.97).

The men's equivalent was won by Asafa Powell of Jamaica in 9.81, in front of a packed stadium, with Frenchman Jimmy Vicault second in 9.86, Mike Rodgers of the USA third in 9.99, and another Jamaican, Nesta Carter, fourth in 10.02, while the evergreen Kim Collins of St Kitts-Nevis was fifth in 10.05.

There was a major shock in the men's 400m as South African Wade van Niekerk won in 43.96, ahead of favourite Kirani James of Grenada (44.17), American David Verburg (44.81), and Jamaican Rusheen McDonald (44.84).

In what could be a forerunner to the World Champs final, the men's 100m at the Lausanne Diamond League on thursday promises to be a cracker, featuring Jamaican Asafa Powell, Trinidad's Keston Bledman, and Americans Justin Gatlin, Tyson Gay and Mike Rodgers.

In the men's 200m, Jamaica's Nickel Ashmeade will go up against Anguilla's Zharnel Hughes, now running for Britain, and Panamanian Alonso Edward.

The men's 400m hurdles will feature Trinidadian Jehue Gordon, while another Trinidadian, Keshorn Walcott, will take part in the men's javelin, and Novlene Williams-Mills of Jamaica and Bahamian Shaunae Miller will participate in the women's 400m. St Lucian Levern Spencer will be in the women's high jump.

Trinidadian Keshorn Walcott threw a national record of 90.16 to convincingly win the men's javelin in front of a packed crowd at the Lausanne Diamond League meet on Thursday.

The men's 100m was won by American Justin Gatlin in 9.75, with Jamaican Asafa Powell second in 9.92.

The men's 200m was won by Britain's Zharnel Hughes, who was born in Anguilla, in a time of 20.13.

Shaunae Miller of the Bahamas won the women's 400m in 49.92, ahead of Jamaican-born American Sanya Richards Ross (51.12) and Jamaica's Novlene Williams-Mills (51.15).

Jamaicans Steph MacPherson and Christine Day will take part in the women's 400m.

Another St Lucian, Jeannelle Scheper, will participate in the women's high jump, and on-form Keshorn Walcott of Trinidad will take part in the men's javelin.

At the Monaco Diamond League meet yesterday, Ethiopia's Genzebe Dibaba broke the world record in the women's 1500m in a phenomenal 3:50.07!

The women's 400m was won by American Francena McCorory in a world-leading 49.83, ahead of Jamaicans Steph MacPherson (50.41) and Christine Day (50.66).
