Mumbai, India –The girls in maroon will take to the field on Thursday as the ICC Women’s World Cup bowls off in Mumbai. The West Indies have been described as a “dangerous” team, but the girls from the Caribbean see themselves as more than that. They believe they are serious title contenders and will be going all out to lift the cup when the final is played on February 17.

They are pretty empty, according to cricinfo....

Mohammed not having much of a "ball"....10 overs, 0-44. The only successful bowlers were Daley with 1-51 from nine overs, and Dottin 3-32 from four overs. India made an imposing 284-6....

I'm watching the game on ESPN...its like a ghost town or a test match crowd in the WI. WI in a spot of bother 38/3 in the 16th over chasing 284 for victory

If they are just like the men's team I can see them getting skittled out for around 180-ish.

WI Women 179 all out and as I said above they are very much like the WI Men's team in terms of batting performance.
