Shemaine Campbelle hits glorious back-to-the-wall century at Number 7 for Windies

Colombo, Sri Lanka – Shemaine Campbelle played one of the most remarkable knocks in the history of West Indies Women’s cricket to score her first century at the international level. During the second One-Day International against Sri Lanka at the Rangiri Dambula International Stadium on Sunday, the 20-year-old from Berbice in Guyana made 105 off 138 balls, including eight fours and four sixes.

A poor batting performance by our girls in the third ODI so far....145-7 off 43 overs.

Make that 191-9 off 50 overs....

SL are 124-5 after 37 overs...still in the balance, but advantage SL I think.

We restricted them to 158-9 from 50 overs...victory in the match, and the series!

20 year old Berbician Shemaine Campbel became the first Guyanese female to score an international hundred: 105 off 138 balls, She is only the second West Indian female to score a century in ODI's and the 1st in female cricket batting at Number 7.
