After two rounds of the men's 100m, the Caribbean athletes advancing to the semi-finals are Usain Bolt, Asafa Powell and Nickel Ashmeade (Jam), and Ramon Gittens and Levi Cadogan (Bim). The Kittians and the Trinidadians missed out....

Advancing to the semi-finals of the men's 400m hurdles were Jamaicans Leford Green and Annsert Whyte, but defending champion Jehue Gordon of Trinidad went out.

Jamaicans Kimberley Williams (14.23) and Shaneika Thomas (14.05) advanced to the final of the women's triple jump.

Jamaican superstar Usain Bolt won the men's 100m in 9.79, ahead of pantomime villain Justin Gatlin of the US (9.80).

Favourite Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce of Jamaica easily motored into the next round of the women's 100m with a time of 10.88, along with compatriots Veronica Campbell-Brown, Natasha Morrison and Sherone Simpson, as well as Trinidadians Michelle-Lee Ahye, Kelly-Ann Baptiste and Semoy Hackett.

Jamaican O'dayne Richards took bronze in the men's shot putt with a national record of 21.69.

The men's 400m produced some staggering times. Rusheen McDonald of Jamaica ran a national record of 43.93 to move into the semi-finals, along with compatriots Javon Francis and Peter Matthews, as well as Grenada's Kirani James, Trinidadians Machel Cedenio, Lalonde Gordon and Renny Quow, and Bahamian Steven Gardiner.

Advancing to the semi-finals of the women's 400m hurdles were Jamaicans Kaliese Spencer and Janieve Russell, as well as Trinidad's Sparkle McKnight.

In Monday's action, the semi-finals of the women's 100m will feature Jamaicans Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Sherone Simpson, Natasha Morrison and Veronica Campbell-Brown and Trinidadians Semoy Hackett, Kelly-Ann Baptiste and Michelle-Lee Ahye.

The women's 400m will feature Jamaicans Steph McPherson, Shericka Jackson, Novlene Williams-Mills and Christine Day, Bahamian Shaunae Miller, and Kineke Alexander of St Vincent and the Grenadines.

The women's 400m hurdles semis will feature Jamaicans Kaliese Spencer and Janieve Russell, and Sparkle McKnight of Trinidad. Jamaicans Kimberley Williams and Shaneika Thomas will participate in the women's triple jump.

Damar Forbes of Jamaica and Bermuda's Tyrone Smith will take part in the men's long jump, Trinidad's Keshorn Walcott will be in the men's javelin, and another Jamaican, Aisaha Praught, will participate in the women's steeplechase.

It was another gold medal for Jamaica in another 100m final, and this time it was the women's equivalent. Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce won in 10.76, ahead of Dafne Schippers of the Netherlands (10.81), American Torri Bowie (10.86), and another Jamaican, Veronica Campbell-Brown, who came fourth with 10.91.

Jamaica's Kimberley Williams came fifth in the women's triple jump with 14.45, while Trinidadian Machel Cedenio advanced to the final of the men's 400m, and Jamaicans Kaliese Spencer and Janeive Russell reached the final of the women's 400m hurdles.

Advancing to the semi-finals of the women's 400m were Jamaicans Steph MacPherson, Shericka Jackson, Christine Day and Novlene Williams-Mills, as well as Shaunae Miller of the Bahamas.

Jeffrey Gibson of the Bahamas took bronze in the men's 400m hurdles in a time of 48.17, in a race that was won by Kenya's Nicholas Bett (47.79).

Another Bahamian, Shaunae Miller, advanced to the final of the women's 400m, along with Jamaicans Steph MacPherson, Christine Day, Shericka Jackson and Novlene Williams-Mills.

Advancing to the semi-finals of the men's 200m were Jamaicans Usain Bolt, Nickel Ashmeade, Julian Forte and Warren Weir, as well as Zharnel Hughes of Britain and Anguilla, and Antigua's Miguel Francis. They will all be in action again in the semi-finals on Wednesday.

In Wednesday's action, Jamaicans Kaliese Spencer and Janieve Russell will try to secure medals in the women's 400m hurdles final, while Kirani James of Grenada and Trinidad's Machel Cedenio will go for glory in the men's 400m final.

Kemoy Campbell of Jamaica will take part in the men's 5,000m, while Bahamians Latario Collie-Minns and Leevan Sands will participate in the men's triple jump, and Jamaicans Natoya Goule and Simoya Campbell will be in the women's 800m.

In the first round of the women's 200m, Jamaicans Elaine Thompson, Veronica Campbell-Brown, and Sherone Simpson, Trinidadians Semoy Hackett, Reyare Thomas and Kamaria Durant, Kineke Alexander of St Vincent and the Grenadines, Sheniqua Ferguson of the Bahamas, and Laverne Ferrett-Jones of the USVI will all be in action.

Grenada's Kirani James was dethroned as men's 400m champion, finishing with the bronze medal with 43.78, behind Wayde van Niekerk of South Africa (43.48) and American Lashawn Merritt (43.65).

Jamaicans Usain Bolt and Nickel Ashmeade advanced to the final of the men's 200m, along with Zharnel Hughes of Great Britain and Anguilla. They will run the final tomorrow.

Jamaicans Omar McLeod, Hansle Parchment and Andrew Riley all advanced to the semi-finals of the 110m hurdles, along with Barbadians Shane Brathwaite and Greggmar Swift. They will all be in action tomorrow.

Jamaicans Elaine Thompson, Veronica Campbell-Brown and Sherone Simpson all advanced to the semi-finals of the women's 200m, along with Trinidadians Semoy Hackett and Reyare Thomas. They will all run again tomorrow.

Leevan Sands of the Bahamas advanced to the final of the men's triple jump, which will also take place tomorrow.

In Thursday's action, there will be four Jamaicans in the women's 400m - Steph MacPherson, Shericka Jackson, Novlene Williams-Mills and Christine Day - and Bahamian Shaunae Miller.

Three Jamaicans, Jason Morgan, Frederick Dacres and Chad Wright, will be in action in men's discus qualifying. St Lucians Lavern Spencer and Jeannelle Scheper will participate in the women's high jump, while Bianca Stuart of the Bahamas will be in the women's long jump.

In the heats of the 100m hurdles, Jamaicans Kimberley Laing, Shermaine Williams and Danielle Williams will be taking part, as well as Devynne Charlton and Adanaca Brown of the Bahamas.
