At the Birmingham yesterday, Jamaica's Elaine Thompson returned to form to win the women's 100m in a time of 10.93, ahead of MJ Ta Lou of the Ivory Coast (10.97), and another Jamaican, Jura Levy (11.08).

Colombia's Caterine Ibarguen won the women's triple jump with a leap of 14.51, to finish ahead of Kimberly Williams of Jamaica (14.44) and Ukrainian Olga Riparkova (14.29).

Zuzanna Hejnova of the Czech Republic won the women's 400m hurdles in a time of 54.18, ahead of American Delilah Muhammed (54.20) and Jamaica's Janieve Russell (54.67).

There was a Caribbean 1-2 in the women's 200m in the Zurich Diamond League meet on Thursday. Shaunae Miller of the Bahamas won in a personal best of 21.88, ahead of Jamaica's Elaine Thompson (22.00), Ivorian Marie-Josee Ta Lou (22.09) and Dafne Schippers of the Netherlands (22.36).

Kyron McMaster of the British Virgin Islands won the men's 400m hurdles in 48.07, ahead of Norwegian world champion Karsten Warholm (48.22) and Switzerland's Kareem Hussein (48.45).

Jamaica's team of Christania Williams, Jura Levy, Simone Facey and Thompson won the women's sprint relay in 41.85, ahead of Britain (41.86) and Germany (42.32), while the USA came in fourth.

Jamaica's Elaine Thompson won the $50,000 first prize at the Diamond League meet in Brussels on Friday, taking the women's 100m in 10.92, just ahead of MJ Ta Lou of the Ivory Coast (10.93). Trinidadian Michelle-Lee ahye came fourth in 11.07.

Shaunae Miller of the Bahamas won the women's 400m in 49.46, ahead of Nacer of Bahrain (49.88).

The men's discus was won by andrius Godzius of Lithuania with a throw of 86.16, to finish ahead of Jamaican Frederick Dacres (66.31).

The men's 100m was won by Jamaica's Yohan Blake in a time of 10.02, ahead of American Mike Rodgers (10.09). Jamaicans Julian Forte (10.12) and asafa Powell (10.18) came third and fourth.
