1. He complained on twitter about the training
2. He complained on twitter about the tracing he got from the coach after the senior batsmen failed miserably in the WC.

I think you are being a bit unfair to Gayle here.. Please note that Gayle recently scored a triple in SL a record. Regarding the retainer, in life some times you have to take risk and try to maximize the income. So Gayle lost out on an IPL and WICB contracts... But, He went to the Big Bash where he probably cashed in more than the WICB contract in couple weeks. Gayle also had a lucrative IPL contract so he is financially stable from these setbacks...
