To be honest, I actually agree with Afro here....I can't believe I'm actually saying that!
The ODI series is an unimportant one. How many of us are going to remember the result of the ODI series five years from now, without looking it up on cricinfo? I mean, I remember the Test series the last time Pakistan toured the Caribbean, but much as I rack my brain, I just can't recall a single ODI from that series....

I believe we should use the ODIs to prepare our team for the next World Cup in four days' time. That's what the Saffers do, but that doesn't seem to help them in the KO stages of the World Cup....
:D
I believe it's time for the oldsters to raise their game for the Tests. I think it's a different matter leaving the likes of Shiv, Gayle and Sarwan out of the Test team. To me, Test cricket is what really counts.

Mike...we said boycott the home series, that includes T20s, ODIs, Tests for both Pakistan and India. Fans should stop using Digicel's products too... WICB is a boar with a failed mission!

They planning for next four years... Why people can't see they fooling em and just buying time?

Balli, a boycott solves nothing.....please look beyond you love for our homeboys and realise that there is a culture with our players that encouraged sabotage and "cliquism", something that for more than a decade, has destroyed our cricket....bro. Sarwan and Gayle are no angels, so why do u guys continue to blindly defend them?...if it was your business and u have you best employees trying to undermine you, what would u do?

Jala is tis beyond homebwoys..it factery ... WICB is a failed mission!
Here is the boar mission statment again.
MISSION STATEMENT:
To develop and promote West Indies cricket for the benefit and enjoyment of the West Indian people, its clients and other stakeholders by procuring a consistently high-quality, successful and international West Indian product.
Changing players will not fix anything...change the management ! When a bizniz reorganised the management usually change NOT the employees.

I have to agree!!..there was no suggestions of "boycotts" when WI get murdered by Pak in the world cup but since Sars said he's not playing the first two ODi's against Pak all of a sudden people want to stay away?!! nah the TEAM comes first for me.

I cud support a boycott but not because sars, shive and gayle get dropped!

I cud support a boycott of the cricket for the purppose of changing the way things are run administratively...for the institution of a new and democratic dispensation at FR calculated to produce the results we have been yearning for for 20 years now

as things stands there is already a natural boycott taking place. attendance is down in the region. the older folk who knew westindian excellence apparently do not go to cricket anymore...save good-looking ODI's.

and younger people with a fragmented focus, given all the alternatives to cricket now, also stay away. the wicb has its job cut out achieving successful attandence levels at any of its productions. the wicb is giving seats for virtually free now, to attract attendence

the only attendance factor that may make this series successful is that its India and pakistan coming and there are are about 1 and a half million westindians of Indian/Pak descent who normaly go see these teams in droves when they visit the westindies.

but then again the wicb may not have scheduled any tests where these citizens are located in the region, contributing to the boycott effect
