That is a fecking disaster waiting to happen imo!! , firstly what the feck is Devon Thomas still doing there? HE WAS GARBAGE IN THE WORLD CUP, secondly why pick ANOTHER LEGGY in Martin when Bishoo is already there? wouldn't it be better to have different options and pick someone like Permaul for example?

Them skunt selectors take one step forward (dropping some of the seniors) but then take two steps back by picking the wrong replacements!,

Another thing i don't get is how they can let Dwayne piss off to the IPL when we have two important test matches to play?! :x IF THE MAN IS MISSING GAMES FOR WI THEN TELL HIM TO FECK OFF!!, i simply cannot accept a player putting Wi second, it seems like they were happy for Dwayne to leave so they could keep that skunt Sammy in the team!!, needless to say i don't expect us to win a single ODI with that team.

I agree with you about the selection of Martin, who wasn't even a stand-out spinner in our recent domestic four-day competition....

But with regards to Big Bravo, this was always on the cards. By his past actions, it's clear that he always placed IPL over West Indies cricket. However, that said, it does seem that he and the WICB have arrived at a suitable compromise - he's to make himself available for the ODIs, for which he still commands a place in the side, but he can go to the IPL for the Tests, when the selectors weren't going to pick him for the side anyway....

Big Bravo's stats in Test cricket were poor in 2010, and he was on the verge of being dropped anyway, so this is a useful 'excuse'....

I don't agree that he was "poor" in the Tests, he contributed much more to the team than Shiv did in SL IMO, the question is if Sammy continues to be an embarrassment in the ODIs will they have the guts to drop him from the Test team? and who would be the replacement "all rounder" if that were to happen? my picks would be Kevin Stoute or Carlos Brathwaite, BOTH are better than Sammy i believe.

well...we knew thay are building a side that sammy can lead...so this is no sooprise.

the seniors wont be pik for the tests either. so Gayle, Sars an' Shive are effectively done for the westindies.

I am just about out the door myself. this is a new day in the westindies on which the old people in westindies power have fully restored the past in all is nasty decay and rotteness.

the british westindian raj is in good order, kept clean, oiled, maintained and well-functioning up the Dots in the old colonials who still run that westindian sub-region.

Sir Errol Dos Santos and all the white colonials stretching way back into the past, wud be proud indeed of hunter the skunt and his wicb cronies, of the whole westindian blac and brown elite indeed.

as CLR James said of the old school tie, the white planters wud recognise their own kind in these current fellas. they wud see in them 'one of us.' :D :D :D

my time is has come fellas. depending on developments during the next few weeks I may soon be gone for good...in full recognition that my day is done!

Let's look at the last Test series in Sri Lanka....

Dwayne Bravo - 25 runs @ an average of 8.33, and only three wickets @ an expensive average of 52.

Shiv Chanderpaul - 94 runs @ an average of 31.33.

Yes, even though Shiv's series in SL was moderate by his own high standards, they were far superior to Big Bravo's woeful stats....

Do we need to look at the South Africa series stats for these two players as well?

I'm of the view that it's a good decision by the WI selectors to retain Big Bravo for the ODIs, and to tell him it's okay to go to the IPL for the Tests....

As for Sammy, I think we're all in agreement that he's a passenger, and that unfortunately we're stuck with him until the end of the summer. Maybe Big Bravo's the overall successor, and I'm sure he'll get a recall to the Test side for the home-and-away series against India. It will then be up to him to up his game, and show the selectors that he can be a better captain than Sammy....

when Gibbo let loose at the senior players after the wurl skup he was truly angry indeed.

Gibbo expressed a vendetta he has almost fully effected..all subsequent denials to the contrary. only the drop for the tests await to complete his revenge.

and his revenge is in sync with the doctors intent o making a captain out of Sammy even if they have force him into shape with their bare hands

and where is sammys vaunted decency now, his nice westindian young man disrciption...one that I myself coined for him.

I admit my presumptuousness and take it all back as I load my luggage on the way out the door!
