We done the same as England and South Africa!!!. SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO ACCEPT THAT OTHER TEAMS ARE BETTER THAN US!!.. especially when we were missing Dwayne, Baugh, Taylor, Edwards and Barath!!.. but don't let that spoil your argument!! .Googley wrote:wait, our goal now is to reach quarter finals?

How the hell am i "wrong"? WE WENT INTO THE WORLD CUP NINTH IN THE RANKINGS, we also had to deal with losing some of our best players due to injury, only idiots expected us to win the world cup!!.. do we have the talent to win? yes BUT SO DOES SRI-LANKA, INDIA, SA, ENGLAND, AUSTRALIA ETC, the fact is we're better in the Tests than we are in the one dayers, the sooner people realise that the better.Googley wrote:Afro, thats where you are WRONG!!
WI have the talents to win!!!!!!!! they just have to be properly harnessed.
how come the same team under standford win? and undr WICB and Opiss, our goal was quarter finals?

you do realize that both the coach and WICB said BEFORE the WC that the goal was to get to the quarter finals, right?AFRO wrote:How the hell am i "wrong"? From the CEO in May 2010, less than a year ago and we doing it now...why?
link“We have put young men in the international arena only to be slaughtered and demoralised. I keep hearing from people ‘Fire those guys and bring in new ones!’, but where is the new set coming from? Who are we going to bring in? I keep saying to everybody that they have about three or so more years of embarrassment left. The simple fact is that we are not producing young men in this region that are capable of being world beaters in cricket. It’s just a simple fact. Our present crop of cricketers are simply not prepared.”

No Method to the Madness.... We have to stop clutching at straws!Googley wrote:nice ondrive there, Bally!
Do the right and sensible thing, select players on merit. If the coach can't work with the existing team, get a new one. The team comes before the coach. We don't have to change the team to accommodate the coach.
We need to getaway from this backwards way of thinking..

And why do you think that is? BECAUSE WE WERE RANKED BELOW BANGLADESH AND EVERYONE EXPECTED THEM TO QUALIFY BEFORE US DUE TO THEM BEING ON HOME SOIL,Googley wrote: you do realize that both the coach and WICB said BEFORE the WC that the goal was to get to the quarter finals, right?
It tells me they were being REALISTIC.what does that tell you?
IN A T20 GAME? and by the way WI have beaten England TWICE in a row in T20s since Stanford's team won.back to the original point...aren't these the same players who won under Stanford's management?

So according to your logic Darren Bravo, Adrian Barath, Kemar Roach and Andre Russell shouldn't be playing for WI right now?BallOil wrote:From the CEO in May 2010, less than a year ago and we doing it now...why?
