Batting first, the Harpy Eagles powered to 383-7 from the allotted 50 overs on the back of half-centuries from Chandrapaul Hemraj, Romario Shepherd and Kemol Savory. Hemraj topscored with 81 off 68 (5x4s, 6x6s), Shepherd blasted an unbeaten 73 off 29 (6x4s, 6x6s) and Savory scored 53 off 51 (4x4s, 1×6). Also chipping in were Kevin Sinclair with 38 off 19 (4x4s, 2x6s), Tevin Imlach with 35 off 38 (5x4s), Tagenarine Chanderpaul with 33 off 55 (3x4s, 1×6) and Kevlon Anderson with 27 off 37 (1×4, 1×6). Left-arm Antony Adams took 3-40 off eight overs for the ‘Rest Team’, who responded with 243-9 with left-arm spinner Gudakesh Motie taking 5-57 off 10 overs. Rampertab Ramnauth made 58 off 117 (1×4, 1×6), Harpy Eagles selectee Quentin Sampson blasted 49 off 15 (5x4s, 4x6s), Mavindra Dindyal made 40 off 60 (4x4s) and Raymond Perez 36 off 45 (4x4s). The two teams will play in a second practice game on Thursday at the National Stadium, Providence.
