Afro, you really do come up with a lot of rubbish!
Shiv has to play in the first Test....
But the bigger problem is the one of who opens the batting....
If Barath was fit, surely he would've played an ODI by now. I can't see the selectors just slotting him in for a Test match without testing his fitness in a one-day match first....
Gayle is in the IPL, obviously....
Smith appears to have lost the confidence he displayed in the only Test he played in SL, and once again is clueless against spin. Do we persist with him in the first Test on the basis that his last Test innings was a decent one?
Simmons seems to be automatic choice to open the batting. But who opens with him in the first Test at Providence?
Oh look Mike is taking my quotes from weeks ago when everything was up in the air and talking ABSOLUTE GARBAGE again!!

,
1. SHIV IS DONE!!..his war of words with the WICB has pretty much finished him off, SO GET OVER IT!!.
2. Yes i would pick Stoute over Shiv BECAUSE STOUTE IS AN ALLROUNDER, i know you're an advocate of damaging our bowling unit in order to fit your friend into the starting line-up BUT IT'S NOT GONNA HAPPEN.
3. Barath is apparently fit again and is working on his fitness so there's still a chance he might play in the Tests.
4. If Shiv was gonna be selected for the Tests he would have got the same recall Sarwan got for these ODIs, thank god that hasn't happened!!

.
Now my team would be
Brathwaite/Barath
Simmons
Darren
Sarwan
Nash
Carlos Brathwaite/Stoute or Bonner (if we want to play two spinners)
Baugh (wk)
Roach
Pascal
Edwards or Permaul (again if we want to two spinners)
Bishoo
The captaincy can go to either Nash or Sarwan, i believe a team like this is more than capable of getting a positive result.
