noball these days is a serious crime changes match situation totally at times so until he gets over it...he should stay in HPC..and jerome taylor should be there but he is in ipl so carlos brathwaite should be tested??

Plus wdo you think HPC in barbados is the reason behind so many cricketers talented i mean coming out of there???? is there no HPC in other parts of WI?
Roach had the same problem when he first started but he managed to sort it out over time, i would love Tayor to be here but it seems like the IPL is more important to him right now!! , that's why i'm prepard to embrace the younger bowlers like Pascal, Brathwaite would be a good pick imo, he already took three Pak wickets in the warm up game so i'm sure he'd be confident,

Lastly the HPC is only in Bim because that's where the best facilities are, but the players who go there are from all over the Caribbean and most of them done well in the last four day competition.

   The board is the one that appointed Sammy so who the players will complain to?

The board avoiding WIPA the players representative, thus each player is an island, each on their own. Do you see what is going on now? yet, the board blaming players

the sad thing is WI never field their best XI either its ipl or bigbash or injury or board going mad.....but as for sammy he is reallly useless under his captaincy WI might win an odi here or there but cant win a series ever ...every spot is important how could WI afford to play with 10 players and one scammy

I dont think he will be picked and I agree on his ROP over the past year.

but he has been a great player just what we still need...and he scored determindly in his last ODI.

for both reasons as well as our desperate need for soild expeience in the middle I would be very exhaustive in determining if he was still able or not.

as admin I would be proactive positively in shives case...in the seniors case all..not actively seek to sit them down!

in fact if there is any one of the more experienced players to be re-tested, checked out and examined as to continuing usefulness it ought to Dwayne Bravo...not the other 3

reading crofties article really drew my atention to Dwayne.

I have been pissed at him after he scored his last ton in the second test in Oz. the next innings he got bowled by simply playing forward and missing the ball.

and from then with bat and now with ball Dwayne has steadily declined to a point at which he is now living on rep and nothing else.

were I in the wicb I wud have noticed this and begun to deal with already. they have to find out whats going on with Bravo and if he neeeds a rest make sure he gets it by probaby paying him not to play..just like was once done with Andy Roberts and Joel garner.

but Dwayne is getting a pass for the very things the other 3 are supposed to be..declining!

What are you talking about? Show stats to support your claim...

Shiv felt offended what was said and is trying to clear his name... You can't assassinate people career just like that.

How is that arguing? How communicating with the board could affect selection? What is the criteria for selection?

Dwayne really left me bitter when i heard he was playing these ODIs then pissing off to the IPL instead of representing his country in the Tests!!..imo he's a damn embarrassment!! , that's why i don't have much time for most of the seniors because their attitudes suck and they've been failing us for many years anyway.

I already said HE WAS POOR IN THE SL TESTS, he was also poor in the SL ODI series, then he went to the world cup and was poor again, the year before he played against SA and only got ONE GOOD KNOCK on a flat track, other than that he was average, before that he was average in Australia too, THAT'S WHY HE'S BEEN GETTING DROPPED RECENTLY, he wasn't dropped for nothing!! ,

Also Hilaire made his comments but he didn't name Shiv did he? and instead of keeping his head down and waiting for his chance like Sarwan did Shiv start bawl all over the place and dig his own grave in the end!!, which i'm happy with to be honest because as you know i didn't want him in the team anyway!! .

you and I dont see eye to eye on this! I would sacrifice for my nation only if my nation looks out for me. 2 hands clap not one.

I dont see the westindies doing anything at all for ordinary westindian people. I dont see that ordinary westindians shud sacrifice oportunities, to actually lose out personally for the westindies dats all..

mind yu..I wud not have gone to south africa under apartheid. there are limits! but not IPL! going to the IPL is well withn my limits of what is reasonable and right

look at how the wicbc/wicb has treated westindian players all along. if admin were doing right there would be no need for a players union.

this has been a long struggle, from the start of test cricket to now. People like Frank Worrell was a monster in the interest of payers. he was one of the first internationally to stand right up to authority in his interest, in the interest of players. he was named the cricket communist or bolsehvik for that

until the nation comes into line with the interest of all, how can an ordinary bwoy, from little or nothing, faced with an IPL opportuity, in good conscience be expected refuse that for what the wicb has always offered..maximum exploitation while he is good, and a kick in the arse when his skills start to wane like shive right now?

A man must feed himself. no one but he is responsible for that..not skunts hunte, hilaire, gibbo, buttsy thc., but he himself. the IPL in 1 year cud mean 5+ regular years and financial security for he and his family.

the nation does not do that for a westindian, does not gurantee him security for the contributions he may make.

the nation will profit off of its citizen when the citizen has vast skills, way out of proportion to what the citizen makes himself...and leave him rotting by the wayside. ask the great Calypsonians of Trinidads past whose calypsos are classic but who ended eating from garbage cans from san juan to port of spain to survive
