The Dagg Point ground in Bartica has become a buzz for cricket, hosting a unique T20 tournament designed to nurture young talent within the community. This is their first tournament in nine years. The tournament, spearheaded by Delroy Jacobs, features an innovative pitch setup: a specially prepared concrete surface for batsmen at one end and traditional mud turf for bowlers at the other. This thoughtful approach aims to minimize the risk of injuries to the bowlers. The tournament has witnessed explosive batting performances as Bartica Super Stickers posted a mammoth 268 for 2 in their allotted 20 overs. Ronaldo Jeffrey was the star of the show, smashing an unbeaten 168. Ricardo Williams, who contributed a quick-fire 58, ably supported him.
