real pace, class pace, fast, well-directed, with the perfect heat-seeking bouncers..yu know those that come in like an off-break, rising to the head, following the batsman as he tries to withdraw out of the way...dat kind of bowling has a way of unmasking the very best of batsmen.

courage is not usually a constant. even the most courageous can break down at times in the face of constant attack. this Indian batting have had their wars..perhaps too many by now. deh fought well and long but perhaps...just perhaps.. it is time for India to retool regardless. Laxman and company are not going to get better from here on in

the new Oz look good, fast. looks like westindies new young tyros have a test coming up very soon

Oz tour is no where to blood youngsters...on WI do things like that...re Barath. Kohli is in the ream to retool but struggling as well, no?

doh let Afro read this... According to him, we have the best bowlers and batters only the rankings not reflecting this   But, you are right, Oz will test Sammy and crew come April

to be fair to AFRO he siad westindies have the best young batters coming up. and so far he appears to be right.

he said there are at least 10 big, young and strong, promising youth coming up and he is right about that too. all the youtH AFRO posted here look decent with a few lokking very good indeed.

Jason Holder is huge, fast and very proming indeed, so does Carlos Braithwaite. and Gabriel is like the wind. see how he hits the stumps of batsmen regularly. thats wat yu want to see..batsmen playing forward and getting beaten for pace and clean bowled.

this Oz fella Pattinson is incredible for being so young. he is a phenom, the real deal too early in his life. but we will see.

I am not worried. lil Bravo and dem can deal with him.

and I never panned Gibbo for inroducing Barath too early. he did not!

Barath is good and he did beat the Oz from the start..a ton on debut. if only Barath can stay fit and regroup his batting attitude...the one he displayed on the way up, he will be fine.

Barath is test class...no doubt about it.

I'm not knocking anyone here or the youngsters coming up... But, how many potential youngsters for the last 8 years materialized into anything worth mentioning with a solid track record ? Give me some names eh...

this is wat this westindies side needs to become consistent...Sammy out of it and the best man for the job appointeed. that man clearly is Ramdin.

I thought Ramdins was toast as a test cricketer. but circumstances have conspired to bring him back right into contention.

idiot Baugh imploded exposing himself to be a very erratic kind of fellow, capable of doing nonsense at any time no matter what he has shown previously.

Baugh displayed truly brilliant keeping and all said yes, as a keeper at least he has arrived. and just like that he reverts..not to his old crap but way worse than that. boom! just like dat.

its the same with his batting. one day he looks like he is getting there the next nonsense, stupid shot gets out. as a batsman Baugh like he gets fits and just does crap at the wicket, nonsense, the most unthinking ridiculous things and gets out.

Baugh is now 29-30 years old..way too old for that kind of inconsistentcy especially when westindies tail does not wag, and his batting is sorely needed.

and in addition to Baughs nonsense we have Sammy exposed fully for all to see with no upside at all. there is absilutely no point to Samm retaining the captaincy. he has nothing to offer. Sammy is as good now as he will ever be and that is far from good enuff as all can see.

Ramdin has demonstrated sound leadership ability that can lead this westindies side well indeed. I also believe the players will take Ramdisn leadershp as they prolly already have prolly grown tired of Sammys clear inability.

so with Ramdin as cappo, the selecion of a balanced side, and team confidence and sartisfaction with the leader westindies will soon get the consistency of performance we have been searching for this past year here...and the results that will improve the win colum and the players individual stats

heres 3..lil Bravo, Barath, Bishoo. then Rampaul, big Bravo, Roach..despite his recent regression. Benn of barbados also who has been eliminatd by Gibbo.

Also Edwards the batsman... who is the result of some astute and determined selection I will give 'dem' credit for
