Gayle only makes 20, and predictably Sydney's batting folds, to be all out for just 99....

Is only so much Gayle can do alone...He is not getting any support from the rest with the bat..:(

Fidel hasn't played the first two matches for Barbados, so I can't help wondering if he was better off staying in Sydney....

Gayle's first over only concedes four runs.

His second over was more expensive - 10 runs.

Lynn gave Gayle a taste of his own medicine in his third over, which conceded 17 runs....

Was wondering why Fidel came back after he wasn't selected in the match against Jamaica... Now he losing out at both end holding wood :( Is this the Windies way?

Chris Gayle (Sydney Thunder)
There was always the expectation that Gayle and David Warner would terrorise opposition bowlers as an opening pair for the Sydney Thunder. They did, but Warner's Test call-up and a lack of depth in the squad all but ended the Thunder's finals chances.

While Warner smashed a match-winning century in his only Big Bash League appearance, Gayle topped the competition for sixes with 22, belting 252 runs at a strike rate of 150. His best effort was an 81-ball ton against the Adelaide Strikers, and he showed his class in the field by nonchalantly taking a screamer of a catch at gully against the Hurricanes.
