Trinidad and Tobago is committed to regionalism, Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Suruj Rambachan said on Friday, on the eve of the meeting of Caricom heads of governments. Rambachan said the T&T delegation was going to the summit, in Jamaica, with a will to promote regional unity and to address crucial issues affecting Caricom. One primary concern is security of the region, which, he maintains, is a priority matter.
He added that food security would also be on the agenda. The minister said the state of West Indies cricket was likely to be discussed during the summit.

here is an irony...should the westindies attain food security coupled with relative and sound industrial development it would at the same time take care of factory road and the state of westindies cricket.
it is the bacjkwardness of westindian society that allows all hat ignorance to go on. a society moving, employed, developing gets past that backwardness intpo more and more light and shit the old fogeys rfuing things will be taken vcare of as a mater of course.
the old way cant stand the new light of developent and quail away in the glare.
instead of Kamla speaking to the rest of the westindies like if they are strangers and she wasnt aruond all the time...as if she jess learn...its time to get cracking on real regional develiopment...like financing the opening up of Guyana for the westindies by basing the efforts at food production for regional securiity there.
guyanas basic maket is the rest of the westindies. from satisfying that market, develloping the incfrastructure to do so they guyana can look further afield for markets. but the competiton is immense for all that guyana produces the rest of south america does as well, in enormous quantities relative to guyana.
people like Kamla have to make decison allyuh know...like whither titty and gyuana? wey the hell deh want to go..where in the freakin world can those 2 countries go save into the westindies in a fregional state.... for mutual securty, protection and development!
what deh hope to make Indian in the westindies and attach those 2 countries to the motherland?
