Chrisps wrote:I saw Collymore in action at Lord's on Friday. He looked sharp, beat the outside edge numerous times and was unlucky not to pick up more wickets. It did look to be a typical early season seamer friendly pitch, but he made good use of it.

He also threw the ball into the keeper from deep-backward square left-handed! It wasn't a bullet, but I don't know many other cricketers able to do that with their 'wrong' hand.
Collymore has been a seasoned campaigner for the Middle to the point where he's an automatic pick for the county, even though he no longer features for Barbados. The English pitches seem to suit his style more than Caribbean wickets....

He took two wickets in the first innings, and one in the second, while Jordan took two in the first. Good to see Surrey have abandoned the experiment of opening the batting with Jordan!

"Ramnaresh Sarwan will captain Leicestershire against Derbyshire today in the absence of injury-victim Matthew Hoggard. The West Indian led County in their drawn match against Loughborough University last weekend and retains the position as Hoggard is ruled out with a broken finger."

Congrats to Sars and his century in the English County league. Too bad he can't perform the same way for WI cricket at the international level.
