I doh see TT getting to the top of the internationl ladder in anything and staying competitive for long. we dont have the population fuh dat.
Roberts seems an impse to me! contradictory!
roberts may be right dat TT should beat up on the rest of the westindies. but he cyan only make such a demand because TT is full of modern facilities.
traditiobnally TT never beat up on the rest of the westindies consistently in any sport and the only reason Roberts cyan mek dat claim and demand now is because of very excuse he admonishing coaches not to use...the lack of modern facilities and so on as excuse fuh not producing top players.
yet despite all dat TT ...we still cyar beat BG with a lil foo fella lashing ball in we rarse!
we with we Bravos, Pollard, the best cappo Danga, Shanga and Ramdin the best keeper...Imran Khan and 'shoe P' Mohammed.
the way I look at it it will take only the appearance of a few good players up the islands and TT would be in shit again, against the rest of the westindies in cricket.
and we could never beat jamaica in Tennis, athletics. we could beat from Bim up the rest of the westindies in soccer...but never the french or spainish westindies and english jamaica
in fact it looks like jamaica gave itself lots of trouble this time around, it is likely the yard wold be going to Airtel not BG if they had not shot themselves in their feet!
TT have no traditon beating up on the rest of the westindies for any considerable period of time. barbados does, Guyana does but not TT.
TT have won from time to time. but Roberts better hope the lack of facilities up the islands does in fact prove to be a hindrance...for if as he says it is not...and the islands start again to produce players again out of the bushes... its traditional cutarse fuh TT coming up..plenty modern in TT or not.
if players like simmons, perkins and most of the rest up in the TT team, is what we do with great facilites and coaches things doh look as bright fuh TT's win %'s anytime soon
