TIDBITS:Trent Bridge has become a swinger's paradise, but yet Indian great Rahul Dravid was able to score a hundred at that ground last summer. Infact Dravid scored 2 hundreds at Trent Bridge during his great career---115 in August 2002 and 117 in July 2011---no visiting batsman other than Dravid has scored a hundred at Trent Bridge since 2005.
Clearly Trent Bridge is the kind of wicket that will allow batsmen to hit boundaries---it has the pace and bounce---but the swing will eventually do them in.* Even though Dravid has a career strike rate of 42.51---his strike rate when he scored his 117 last summer was 49.79---he hit 15 fours in his hundred.
India lost by 319 runs in 2011; Pakistan lost by 354 in 2010; NZ lost by an innings an 9 runs in 2008.
YOU CAN BET THE HOUSE, CAR AND FARM THE WINDIES WILL LOSE AT TRENT BRIDGE---AND LOSE BIG.
But can any WI batsman emulate Dravid and attack his way to a hundred ?
Chooking and poking won't work at Trent Bridge.
Can Barath fluke a hundred ?
How about Lara's cousin---can he score his 4th overseas hundred ?
Will Kirk Edwards find form and score a hundred ?
