One week of regional competition enough to develop players to the next level? For most the teams, will play ALL of THREE games. The lucky teams will move on the semis where two teams will play only FOUR and the Finalist will play FIVE games.

This is one of the Failures of the WICB , I am on record stating that OUR PLAYERS ARE PART TIME CRICKETERS , THIS OCCURED WHEN THEY WERE BANNED FROM PLAYING CRICKET IN ENGLAND IN THE 1980'S.

I have constantly stated that when this occurred , THE ONUS WAS ON THE WICB TO LOOK INTO THE FEASABILITY OF FORMING , WITH THE FINANCIAL BACKING OF SPONSORS , A PRO OR SEMI PRO REGIONAL LEAGUE . IF THAT WASNT POSSIBLE , THEN IT WAS AND IS INCUMBENT ON THE WICB TO HAVE EXTENDED REGIONAL MATCHES IN THE 3 VERSIONS OF THE GAME .

Let me point out that Allen Stanford , an American with limited knowledge of Cricket , with the assistance of his Board , properly prepared his players by having a 6 weeks Camp . The results of that Camp , was evident when his Team beat all comers in the famous Twenty million dollars Twenty / 20 Matches , and walked away with the Twenty Million Dollars .

One would have thought that the WICB WOULD HAVE LEARNT THE FACT THAT OUR PART TIME PLAYERS ,WHO PLAY LESS CRICKET THAN PLAYERS ON TEAMS RANKED ABOVE OUR TEAM , COULD BE VERY COMPETITIVE IF THEY ARE PROPERLY PREPARED . Unfortunately this has escaped the Emperors in the WICB .
Sadly this fact has also escaped the Frauds in the Region who claim to be Sports Journalists . THE FACT IS
THIS , PROPER PREPARATION PREVENTS PISS POOR PERFORMANCES .

according to WI site.....
Notes:

• There is no provision for a rain day for any match
So lets hope it doh rain that week...else they could be less games. :) If it does, it will be like the last regional ODI. Where Jamaica only played 1 game in that series..

I guess there wasn't any lesson learned from that tournament.
