In life we all have choices to make, and we are entitled to make choices that are in our best interest, but we must always be aware of the consequences of our choices.

You decided that you didn't want to be a slave. You wanted to call your own shot. You wanted to control your own time, so you chose to be independent. Good for you.

With regard to Bravo and Pollard, they work for the WICB. They have been offered contracts which they have refused to sign.

Listen carefully! Bravo and Pollard are entitled to do what's in their best interest.

But the WICB is also entitled to do what's in their best interest. The WICB may choose to accomodate Bravo and Pollard or they may choose to fire them.

If the WICB chooses to accomodate Bravo and Pollard they will be setting a very bad precedent. In future big stars will put the IPL and other foreign teams ahead of West Indies cricket.

Like I said, Bravo and Pollard are entitled to do what's in their best interest, but if I were running the WICB Bravo and Pollard would not play for me again. I would wish them well and select players I deem 100% committed to West Indies cricket.

Panditji, the ball is in WICB court...let see how they play it.. WICB tried that before when the players withheld their services and what happened? Bangaldesh won a historic series in the West Indies. The funny thing WICB end up paying the striking players too.

If I was running the WICB, the best team will be selected at all times pending players availability. my job is to produce the best team to represent the region. Plus the results will reflect on my management if anyone cares. WI don't have the luxury to ignore talented players. What they should be doing is to develop as many talented players so WI could field a winning team.

Why the WICB didn't dumped the Packer bowys? They refused employment for more money. The precedent has already been set..just that the opportunity wasn't around.

WICB should not select Bravo! They need to send a strong message to future Mr. Free Agents - if you want to play IPL T20 and make a million dollars go right ahead and good luck to you.

Cherry picking mercenaries need not apply. 8-)

non selection on what grounds though? This is where WICB went wrong..and it would be unfair to change their selection requirement without notice.

The selection criteria should include "A demonstrated committment to West Indies cricket by making oneself available for selection at all times even when there are conflicts with other tournaments". This would eliminate the cherry pickers but still allow players to be free agents.

if is cherry season what you want them to do? you ever had cherry jam?

The CEO said that a contract is not a criteria for selection. He can't say one thing and go another... Didn't he see this coming?
