TRINIDAD and Tobago cricketers are currently engaged in a two-day isolation camp in Toco which is scheduled to end today.
The camp is being used to improve bonding and communication as the national team prepare for the defence of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) Cup in Jamaica from October 14 to 24.

President of the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (TTCB), Azim Bassarath revealed yesterday that the players requested to have an isolation camp to improve the all-round strength of the team.

“When the players approached us with this idea we immediately supported it and we thought it was a super idea” said Bassarath yesterday. He continued: “Daren Ganga is the leader of the team and he thought it was necessary that the team got closer ahead of the tournament. The TTCB is on board with all ideas to ensure that the national team is successful.”

The players will be focusing on mental development and bonding to ensure that all aspects are in place so the national team can complete a hat-trick of WICB Cup titles.

“The players have to complete a hike apart from the other meetings and discussions about strategy.
