india 55/4

india need 161 to win on a bowler friendly wicket. the great tendy at the wicket. laxman to come but he is injured.

who says test cricket is boring ?

india need a miracle to win this but i am rooting for india.

can tendy lead india to what would be a great victory ?

re: sheik over at caribbeancricket.com

aussie sheik has been in hibernation recently. will he emerge if aus win this test or is he banned like boomer ?

some posters over at cc believe sheik is boomer. i believe sheik is ryan.

what do you say panditji. is sheik boomer or ryan ?

india need 161 with 6 wickets in hand. the aussies were bowled out for 192 in their 2nd innings. india will need a miracle to win this. but the great tendy at the wicket. there is hope as long as the great tendy is there.

BP:

If Sachin can bat at both ends India can win this test, but he can't and therefore there is a 95% probability Australia will lead the series 1-0 after the first test.

I always believed Sheik was spudsmskenzie. But sheik is a big peak oil proponent and so is Ryan.

Boomer never posted as Sheik and with spudsmckenzie no longer posting on cc that leaves Ryan(admin) as the man behind the sheik handle.

Hope Ryan(cc admin) keeps the sheik handle alive---sheik will have a ball if Australia defeats India.

This ain't no batter friendly wicket. Good bowling will take wickets on this pitch as we have seen all match thus far. Add to that the incompetence of Billy Bowden and batsmen will definitely have a tough time out there.

Tendy is not known as a big second innings man. But this is his chance to pull a Brian Lara (ala 153*) and win the game for India.

Lets see what happens tonight. :)

Australia's bid for victory in the first Test at Mohali has been made more difficult by the news that Idian batsman VVS Laxman will be fit and ready to contribute on the final day.

The Indians will resume at 4 for 55 chasing 216 for victory, with Sachin Tendulkar unbeaten on 10 while nightwatchman Zaheer Khan has 5.

Laxman will bat either before or after Indian captain MS Dhoni, but after going through a net session on the fourth afternoon, will likely be far more capable than in the first innings, when he did not bat until number 10 and was clearly inconvenienced by back spasms.
