Wouldn't back-to-back series, away then home, between the Aussies and Saffers be a mouth-watering prospect?
Notwithstanding controversies arising from the blight on humanity that was the apartheid system, the pool of cricketers that South Africa has to choose from appears to be full to over-flowing with talent. Frightening!
That is one squad in which, as a cricketer, you would definitely want to play even as a walking, wounded! It would be interesting to get a beind the scenes insight into the volume of work that the physio's get through.
Sweet dreams are made of this: VKJ Abbott 11.4 overs, 4 maidens, 29 runs, 7 wickets on test debut!

17.6 KJ Abbott to Mohammad Hafeez, 83.9 mph, Punches it to gully and the South Africans are claiming the catch and Hafeez is standing his ground! This was short of a length outside off, extra bounce and Hafeez couldn't quite keep it down, Elgar plucks it low at gully, the third umpire takes a look, he's happy with it and for the second time in the match a debutant has struck in his first over 56/2
25.4 KJ Abbott to Misbah-ul-Haq, 82.8 mph, Edged to second slip and Misbah is waiting for it to be checked! This was on a good length outside off and tucking him up for room, Misbah was squared up and ended up pushing at the ball, it dipped towards second slip and Alviro moved to his left and plucked it low off the ground, the third umpire looks at a few replays and he's convinced that the catch was clean 75/4
40.1 KJ Abbott to Sarfraz Ahmed, 83.7 mph, Abbott picks up his third! He pitches it up a bit outside off and gets it to move away, Sarfraz was looking to be positive through his innings and he wasn't going to let this go, ended up getting a thick outside edge to Smith at first slip 132/6
40.2 KJ Abbott to Saeed Ajmal, 83.4 mph, Abbott's on a hat-trick! Almost an action replay of the previous wicket, similar delivery, this was pitched up and holding its line, Ajmal was forward and pushing at it, tame outside edge and Smith takes this one easily 132/7
44.2 KJ Abbott to Ehsan Adil, 82.1 mph, Five on debut for Kyle Abbott! He stretches his arms out, savours the moment! This was slip-catching practice, Abbott got it to bounce a touch off a good length, Adil poked his bat out and the edge went to third slip, du Plessis moves to his left and takes it 149/8
44.4 KJ Abbott to Mohammad Irfan, 83.9 mph, make that six for the road! The tailenders are doubling up as fielding coaches giving slip-catching practice. This was a good length delivery moving in and Irfan could easily have left that, he stretches his bat out tamely and the ball dips towards fourth slip where Elgar takes a low catch 149/9
46.4 KJ Abbott to Younis Khan, 83.2 mph, Younis has been given out lbw and he is reviewing it, at normal speed Younis looked in trouble, this was full and swinging back in, Younis was covering all three stumps as he tried to whip it across the line, the ball skids and hits his pads and you could see the leg stump, Hawk Eyes shows that hitting leg stump and it's the end of the innings 156/10

If dat is really our Kemar Roach wondering about this then a tongue-in-cheek calypso comes to mind sung by The Mighty Sparrow in which one can hear the lyric: ...KemarAJR profile: KemarAJR I Need Some Feed Back, Why Do Women Love Men That Beat Them??? Is It The Gangster Effect Or True Love??? Need A Woman's Opinion! about 1 hour ago · reply · retweet · favorite
DEAR WWW howzdat IS NOT SUPPORTING, PROMOTING NOR CONDONING VIOLENCE AGAINST ANY HUMAN SO PLEASE DON'T GET IT TWISTED. THANK YOU.Every now and then, cuff dem down
They'll love you long and they'll love you strong
Black-up dey eye, bruise-up
Dey will love you eternally
However if you can't help yourself I'd like to remind that in the true spirit of calypso as a PUBLIC SERVICE the song ends with the lyric ....
Then they'll leave you eternally!
All from my childhood memories.
So no KemarAJR no human is in love with a fellow human that abuses them.

Where have all the revolutionaries gone.... ?!After a few moments deep contemplation I begin to wonder whether revolution has become a spectator sport ... going on everywhere except where the western world is ...?howzdat wrote:Am currently hooked on the talent of Malcolm Maclaren in the form of his work on the album Paris,Paris. Malcolm Maclaren was one helluva creative human; what a body of work as a legacy. nuff, nuff, respect!

OH MI God! I hang my head in shame! I had no idea Howzdat that you and others had picked up in these forums and made them live a bit! now what you have been saying in the Gyaf comes into greater focus.
I had written off Ballys board past the Gyaff, never even glimpsed that there was activity going on. and I missed a whole lot.
forgive me Howzdat, and Bally and all> I wont be as blind again.
let me try to catch up

Maps, truth be told that i have no idea as to what you refer but if reads heartfelt , however what compelled me to come here to my likkle corner of the www immediately off the street is to give a very BIG, HEARTFELT, UNRESERVED congratulations to John Agard. In my heart I thank my late papa every day for the foresight he had to ensure that I was able to get the taste and flow of the West Indies in my system. One of my earliest memories is standing in a line before class call-in and being approached by a fellow student with the proposition: "Hey, yuh wan' me fuh fix yuh up with a binny?". I won't bore the www with the detail, but in short, if you dont understand i aint gonna translate ...
Now to the cricket. 18 for 2.FFS! Dear Mr. Gibson fuh the last time I am gonna beg yuh rass, "please, please, please appoint Marlon Samuels to be the West Indies captain". Darren Sammy thank you but time is up! Now I am gonna get the gory details
