Any of Gayle, Samuels, Ramdin or Sarwan, if he can make back some runs, are all viable alternatives to lead as they actually make the team on merit.
The T20 squad is close but the ODI line up could also benefit from numerous changes. Even shiv might be persuaded to have another crack at it.(provided they reconsider his ODI status )
logical! although I would still insert ramdin up in the captaincy mix. I know its a long call but still....

no improvement on the field however..if samuels.

the pace must be developed. Gimbo have to go fuh dat to happen. too much Best and Fidel.

a return of Gayle to the Captaincy cannot be ruled out
Gibbo deserves to carry on, lets remember he's won a world cup and six tests in a row, you can't sack a man with that sort of record regardless of who the opposition was, i also believe that Best's time could well be up now after his crap performances against Zim, they've already promoted Holder to the ODI team and Gabriel to the test side, so it's not like they've left all the young pacers in the cold, the next one to get promoted will be Johnson or Beaton i think, and it could be sooner rather than later.

As for who should go next, i say get rid of dem wukless SELECTORS!!..they've been incharge for too long, time to switch it up now.

So, what do you think of the Windwards cabal being replaced by a Jamaican mafia, Afro?
:D
Are you still a supporter of the WICB, now that your beloved Hunte has been replaced by Cameron?

Instead of showing bias towards undeserving Windwards players, i.e. Mathurin, is it now time to show bias towards undeserving Jamaican players?

Are we going to see a Gayle/Samuels/Lambert captaincy, and a final recognition of Miller's talents?
8-)
Forgive me if I don't sound excited by the outcome of this election....I think this is just more of the same.

I was never a "supporter" of H&H, i just didn't hate them like certain other people did, infact i actually communicated with Hiliare a few times and put my ideas to him and he was open to make some changes, for example i told him it would be beneficial to our domestic system if the HPC were allowed to play in the four day competition, he agreed and said he would mention it in the WICB meetings, but i guess it came too late as less than six months later he was off, they did introduce a number of new forward things though i.e HPC, radio deals, u17 regional competition, giving funds to club cricket, screening the four day games online, espn etc, so they did try.

Dave Cameron is a young guy who i'm lead to believe might be easier to push in the right direction than Hunte was, Hunte was stuck in his ways really and very private, where as i think Cameron will be more accessible and open to new ideas, we'll see if that notion holds true over the next few years.

The captaincy issue is gonna be the elephent in the room until Sammy is removed, but who is behind that whole fiasco? the selectors? Gibbo? or was it H&H? something tells me it's as much to do with the former than the latter.

yes...the unbalanced 10 man side we consistently send out to play the oppositions 11   [/quote]

The sooner WI team get back to a meritocracy the better.

After 3 years his supporters are still trying to redesign the fallacy so that he appears to serve a functional purpose but it's absolutely clear in this case that one from 10 makes eleven.

It's a poke in the eye for all cricket fans & a slap in the face for Caribbean ones when they even attempt to suggest no one else is suitable, as if the other players haven't reached adulthood yet & don't have the requisite skills to tie their own shoe lace's never mind the capability for independent thought or self responsibility.
That's some real bold face patronizing right there which discredits a whole swath of Caribbean men in one fell swoop & is indicative of the under-"lying" double speak from alternate parts of the mouth that is prevalent in the organisation in general. (Hilare's "Most of the U19 players can't even read or write comments being a case in point")

I don't hold out a great deal of hope for the new administration simply because up untill yesterday Cameron was also part of the problem but I do feel a sense of relief that we may now turn the page on that particular chapter in WI cricket.
As if a weight has been lifted from my shoulders, not quite optimistic but I am looking to the future with something close to anticipation that some kind of change is imminent.

Surely that change can't be any worse, can it ?

Meet AFRO, a windiesfans.com star poster with influence in high places :D :D

I note that AFRO took the chance to express opinions (like any one us could have done and still can do) to those in the corridors of power, truly commendable! And by all stated accounts there are indeed listening ears.

... howzdat now tiptoes very carefully avoiding toes and t'ing ...

Great. ... erm ... but going forward do we need to have a special topic asking is how much shared responsibility (sorry. i mean respect) AFRO needs to be accorded as Windies bright future comes into view? And how should we react if the opposite happens?

AFRO, yuh online skin thick enough fuh licks?   Just joking ....

All hail AFRO!!!!! West Indies secret weapon. AFRO, I hope dat i is in your good books ... and dat you is NOT for turning?

LOL nah Howzdat it's nothing bro!!..i have mi lickle connections and sometimes get di chance to talk to some of di big dawgs from di board!!.. das all!! :D , it's not all smooth though, a few months ago i was in a long conversation with someone from the WICB about the four day competition and how it could be improved, i felt i was making progress but these people tend to change from day to day and the progress fizzled out, the whole thing is very politcal and it's tough to get a breakthrough, i'm hoping with the new set-up incharge the board will finally listen to some new ideas put forth, because lord knows we need to improve our domestic system man.
