Angelo Mathews and Lasith Malinga produced one of the great one-day international fightbacks to clinch an improbable victory for Sri Lanka, extending Australia's losing streak to six international games since July. The visitors seemed destined for a humiliating loss when they crashed to 8 for 107 chasing 240, but Mathews and Malinga kept fighting, spurred on by noisy support from a crowd dominated by Sri Lankan fans.

KARMA IS a b**ch!!!!!

They had a scare when Malinga was run out with the scores level, trying for the winning single to cover, but Muttiah Muralitharan finished the job with a flick off his pads for four to fine leg off Shane Watson. It will be Muralitharan's final international act at the MCG, where he was called for throwing 15 years ago, but this time there was nothing but roaring applause.

West Indies captain, Darren Sammy, has lauded his teammates for their professional approach and commit-ment during the ongoing camp at the 3Ws Oval of the Cave Hill campus of the University of the West Indies.

Speaking yesterday after a full workout, Sammy said he was pleased with the way the players have all stepped up during the camp as they prepare for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka.

"The players have been working hard and doing all that has been asked of them. We had two full sessions on Sunday and Monday and another intense session today. Everyone is enjoying what they are doing and we are eagerly looking forward to the tour. As I said before, this tour of Sri Lanka will not be an easy one, so we must make sure we are fully prepared when we leave the Caribbean later this week," the 26-year-old said.

"The tour is going to be a major challenge, there is no doubt about that and that is why it has been so pleasing to see everyone buckling down and doing the hard work here in the camp. We are all aware of the task ahead. We have bonded well as a team and everyone is on the same page going forward." link

Cappo seh we ready.. :)

Sammy added: "We have been working hard and we are enjoying it. It is good that everyone is enjoying what they are doing and taking responsibility for their individual game. We have been seeing smiling faces and we are all pulling together in the same direction."

somehow the words Gayle, Bravo, Shive, Benn, Baugh and bonding to and with anything seem a quite uncomfortable and combustible adhesion!

yuh need industrial strength glue to even get dem to stick closer. and the combustion from insidie is bound to weaken and neutralise that glue.

Baugh is a stupid man in the extreme. I have never see a westinaidn player before as functionally stupd as carlton Baugh. that stupidity of his will spoil anything he is a part of.

HE is upbeat! interesting! HE is right to take his jollies when he can :D :D :D
