9.50 am The news at the moment from Colombo is that play will be delayed because of a damp outfield. The pitch and the area around it is relatively dry, and the groundstaff are hard at work to get the outfield in shape. The umpires will have an inspection at 10.30 am and Asad Rauf hopes things would have improved substantially by then.
