Key Men
Sri Lanka: It's hard to see Tillakaratne Dilshan, Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardene and Thilan Samaraweera all failing to get a big score in the same match. Whether their bowlers can pick up 20 wickets is another matter. Ajantha Mendis will carry their hopes with the ball.

West Indies: After missing the first game through suspension, Sulieman Benn struggled to find his rhythm early on as he last played a Test match in June. With Shillingford under pressure over his action, the Windies will need a big effort from Benn if they want to stand any chance of winning the game.

Last Five Head-To-Head Results
2010: Second Test: Match drawn at RPS in Colombo
2010: First Test: Match drawn at Galle
2008: Second Test: West Indies won by 6 wickets at Port of Spain
2008: First Test: Sri Lanka won by 121 runs at Providence
2005: Second Test: Sri Lanka won by 240 runs in Kandy

Prediction
The Pallekele International Cricket Stadium is a new venue so it's difficult to predict how the wicket will play. Rain is also expected to play a part. Unless there are plenty of demons in the pitch early on, then the teams will probably draw this match and share the spoils for the series. For that to happen, the Windies will need to make sure they don't suffer any batting collapses. As shown by New Zealand in India, teams who are going through a lean period more often than not suffer at least one batting collapse during a series.

Probable Teams
Sri Lanka: Tillakaratne Dilshan, Tharanga Paranavitana, Kumar Sangakkara (captain), Mahela Jayawardene, Thilan Samaraweera, Angelo Mathews, Prasanna Jayawardene, Nuwan Kulesekara, Rangana Herath, Ajantha Mendis, Suranga Lakmal

West Indies: Chris Gayle, Adrian Barath, Darren Bravo, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Brendan Nash, Dwayne Bravo, Carlton Baugh, Darren Sammy (captain), Sulieman Benn, Shane Shillingford, Kemar Roach

‎"There is nothing that you can do about the weather but at the same time we've come up here hoping to start reconstruction of West Indies cricket." West Indies coach Ottis Gibson.

This is basically the same West Indies team except for Sarwan..no? What reconstruction Ottis talking about?
Is Ottis reading Hilaire's script?

How them going build on hollow ground...? Sarwan has a better foundation than all the newbies

No I'm not related to Sarwan..but I'm fair and would like to see justice for all.

man dont you see....westindies cricket, and the people get all dat deh actually deserve.

the state of westindies cricket: a decade and a half of losing. worldwide ignominy, forrin white coaches who sabotage westindies cricket at high employment costs, right up in our facdes like smiling Dyson, insular and incompetent Yardie captain who pik 9 yardies on westindies side with the full compliance of the chairman, dat same H skunt....

all of that and continuing and deh still put the man back in! who is really orchestrating these things? Julian Hunte is most ridiculous man, a complet and toal rass and and idiot and look at him dance at the top. on the grave of westindiec cricket.

I am stunned! I divorce tuh rass> I not coming back. I will soon be done with the p[osting too. I will be looking out for the great bastmen a dnfast bowlers when they appear, to enjoy them from afar. as long as there are 1 or 2 I can do that but I dont hold out hope for westindies cricket.

I saw a post on the fans front page, the latest one about the plans affot to revitalise westindies cricket. with this and that package and investments for forrinrs and all that. my god! that is not the way to..neo liberal latter day capitalism under an avalanche of big, mesmerizing, but meaningless words..or meaningful in the mot anti-nationalist and exploitative way.

and H skunt has gone for an Irishman this time to lead the continuing sell-out of the westindies. and these things continue to happen in and for the westindies in 2010, after all the experience we have had, in the face of the total failure and end of the future for all that kind of crap development, now openly proposed by the wicb as if it is some kind of pristine, postive and hopeful kind of development.

it is like assholes who have sunk into the mud, who see only mud as possible to be danced on, even if they go sink irrevocably tuh rass again, and this las' time, probably never to be re-floated!

more and more i come to see the population of the westindies as useless, helpless and uterly stupid. at least the people of Dominica and St Vincent had the good sense to join up ALBA and now benefit from that most positive Venezuelan centric, Latin and Caribbean development, that indicates a route to good and decent future

yep....Tuesday, August 11, 2009
Predictably, West Indies Cricket Board president Julian Hunte was returned unopposed yesterday to serve another two-year term as head of regional cricket.

It had been previously indicated that no other name had been put forward to contest the top post in Windies cricket.

Incumbent WICB vice-president Dave Cameron was also returned unopposed to the position.
So skunte has 9 months mo?
