Proof of how far hope will take you.
Dhawan makes the top ten while Darren Bravo hasn't scored a ton since how long, hardly comparable,Virat Kohli, no discussion at all.
The reflected glory our endless line of pacers were basking in after they bowled him dung in an A team series, some time ago, has now dimmed to a flicker. A footnote in cricket history, barely worth the mention.
How could they be so stagnant, while he thrives.

WI rebuilding for 2015... I hope Bravo break out soon before he fall off the team. His only ODI ton is against Bang and batting at #3 is not good enough.Gils wrote: Proof of how far hope will take you.

The problem with Bravo is that he has no good guiding hand to help him reach that next level. At this stage of Lara's career he had coach Kanhai to guide him:
Source: http://www.ondriveupdate.com/Pages/geniusbetrayed.aspxLara reflected on his innings of 277 in Sydney, and what he learned from it. He said that when he returned to the pavilion (after a senseless run out), he noticed that then Coach, Rohan Kanhai, was not too pleased. Lara then proceeded to recount a conversation that he had had with Kanhai. He told Kanhai that he sensed that he (Kanhai) was not pleased with him for getting out, but pointed out that he had just scored 277 runs. Coach Kanhai replied: "but the next time you go out to bat you start at zero". In other words, a batsman should never gift his wicket away even if he has already made a big score. Lara acknowledged that that is conversation that he has never forgotten.
