Jayawardene struggling for a while now ...

* In the last 2 years Jayawardene has played in 12 tests----he has scored 767 runs at an average of 34.86 with 2 hundreds and 5 fifties.

* A 34.86 average would be excellent for most WI batsmen----but for a class batsman like Jayawardene it's not good enough.

* It will be very difficult for Jayawardene to raise his test average back to 50.
