Ottis Gibson audio | Preview 2nd T20 International

KINGSTON, Jamaica – West Indies Head Coach Ottis Gibson expects a fightback from the World Champions as they oppose Ireland in the 2nd T20 International at Sabina Park on Friday.

The Windies lost to Ireland by six wickets in the first T20 International on Wednesday afternoon by six wickets and need a victory to level the two-match series.

First ball is 2pm (3pm Eastern Caribbean Time).

After Thursday’s training session Gibson spoke to WICB Media.

This must be WICB media asking questions as talking about preparation, they have lost teh last 5 in a row.

This is Ireland.

Even so why play Sammy, Gayle, Samuels who have no match fitness following long injuries and a seasoned failure at Internationals in Smith?

Coach did not say,
Don't worry folks what happened in the first game was just a blip on the road to the Windies retaining their World T20 trophy.
No he said they have to think of it that way. Reality is ... to be revealed. Gibson speaks like a man under no pressure at all for his position. Ah well.

this begs the question: Does Coach know the meaning of the words that come out of his mouth? It would appear not!

Given its persistence it is definitely not a fledgling romance so I guess we just have to sit, watch and hope that Cupid draws his bow and propels Andre's bat to a score worthy of mention.

Fletcher lick a six into the empty George Headley stand...nobody want to sit in the sun. The small gathering of spectators sitting in the shady side of the GH stand.
