I look at this season and considering how many youngsters have finally stood up to be counted i'm inclined to wonder if this could be a watershed moment in our cricket once more? in every department of the game be it openers, middle order batsmen, keepers, pacers and spinners alike we're seeing talent emerge like we haven't seen in YEARS!!..and with our domestic structure now set to be on a par with the majority of our rivals around the world i truly believe that we're seeing the green shoots of something special here...especially when you consider that several of the best players in the region aren't even participating in this years competition due to the world cup.
I really cannot wait to see how these yutes respond to being a PROFESSIONAL for the first time and having coaches there to guide them while playing a full season of ten games or more!!..i think it will be the making of several of these young players and take things to a whole new level in the region. How much better would the likes of Darren Bravo and Kemar Roach be if they had such a system in place when they were coming up?
WE CAN'T LOSE from this new dawn in our cricket...we can only benefit from here and that's what's so exciting.
