West Indie vs UAE West Indies won by 6 wickets.
Having asked UAE to bat first and then left them reeling at 46 - 6 the West Indies should have wrapped up this encounter long before the final UAE wicket went down in the 48th over with the score on 174.
J Holder 4 - 27 and J Taylor 3 - 36.
D Smith, M Samuels and A Russell, mysteriously promoted up the order, all failed with the bat as West Indies knocked off the modest total in 31 overs.
J Charles 55 in 40 balls J Carter 50 from 58 balls.
CV Rating 6.25

New Zealand vs West Indies New Zealand win buy 143 runs.
A record individual score in ODI world cup cricket of 237 from Martin Guptil, with handy contributions from Taylor, Williamson and Elliot, helped New Zealand set West indies a score of 393 from 50 overs.
Jerome Taylor was the best West Indian bowler on show with 3 wickets for 71 runs.
Chris Gayle went for a top score of 61 from 33 balls with the reply at 120 - 4 and so did West Indies slim chances of victory, they eventually folded for 250 in the 31st over.
CV Rating 2.0

Having finished a not surprising last in the recently concluded PCL, LICA cricket now moves swiftly on to the recriminations stage of their annual cycle.
" A player (Ramnaresh Sarwan) was even mentioned by name that we would have liked to acquire his services and we had from opening batsman, top order coming all the way down to bowling in terms of spin bowler, left-arm seamer. We even went as far as saying options one two and three in the event that when your time comes and option one was no longer available …” Said Derrick Nicholas.
“Derrick must understand that he must speak the truth because there was no information given to us ..... so I don’t know what Derrick is talking about,” Said head coach Ridley Jacobs in response to Mr Nicholas claim.

So there I was, patiently waiting for the next WI squad to be announced and the confirmation that Jamaica would meet it's requirement for 2 quality players in the first XI, when I saw some coonery regarding it's poor club structure and finishing 4th in PCL.
After further investigation found
Knowing Jamaica had exceeded its requirement to provide quality players for WI duty had already put my concerns to rest but I was still left wondering how, exactly, can the WICB be " a great Institution " if 50% of it's structure is piss poor........
To my astonishment I then discovered the Leeward Islands havent provided a single quality player for the British West Indies since Ridley Jacobs, in 1998, which wouldnt look strange to most keen observers of WI cricket until put into context
As of today It's been 17 years without one

Which was reassuring, but then I looked at the 2015 ODI world cup squad and to my amazement found that 40% were Jamaicans, at that point I didnt think to pay the coon anymind but this popped up.the results they have is SECONDARY DUNCY!!...it's WI FIRST, regional sides SECOND
.i've said A MILLION TIMES ALREADY..the leewards structure has been the only PISS POOR structure in the region because your beloved JAMAICA'S is too...and so is winwards. Secondly these teams ARE THERE TO PROVIDE WI WITH PLAYERS...how they do in regional competition is NOT that important

if they produce two quality WI players every three years they would have done their jobs.

Quite right, and a good assessment, Gils....
Of course, the biased, jealous, small-island skunt won't see that.
