I wasn't asking you, Afro...I was asking Keith, since he acknowledges he lives in Basseterre, and has done so for many years. Until you say where you live, and with what authority you speak, I place more value on Keith's opinions than yours, because he's not a coward who hides behind a handle. That said, thanks for providing a little background on the lesser lights....
1) I never said Taylor was more than average. The vast majority of WI batsmen are average, including your beloved Jonathan Carter. The Leewards batsmen have been distinctly average this season, so giving Taylor only four matches while Richardson got eight was a travesty.
2) With regards to Liburd, this is just another example of Caribbean cricket's plantation-style politics thwarting the development of youngsters. It's been replicated throughout the region, such as the issue Gils raised on another thread - the stupid uniform stand-off in Barbados.
3) If Louis is an allrounder, then an allrounder who averages 22 with the bat this season shows exactly how far our batting in the region has fallen!
I'm sorry, but I don't call a player an allrounder, just because his fans say he is. You've been telling me for years that Jason Holder is an allrounder, and I'm still waiting to see it....
4) The Windwards won't want Hamilton. Fletcher is a better prospect with the gloves than Jahmar.

Which is why the head coach's job is in big danger!!...and LOL he mentions "Carter" but doesn't have the gutts to mention BRATHWAITE or DARREN BRAVO!!..i wonder why?1) I never said Taylor was more than average. Erm NO!!.. he was way OUT OF ORDER for what he did...but of course you're an english skunt who finds it easy to have an opinion when you're nowhere near the action2) With regards to Liburd, this is just another example of Caribbean cricket's plantation-style politics thwarting the development of youngsters. LOL this statement just personifies why this idiot hasn't got a damn CLUE about the youngsters in the region ..if you actually went and looked at the damn stats you would find that he was stranded on not out at least three or four times last season which damaged his batting average because he was often stranded on 20 odd!!!...he's most certainly a talented batsman aswell as a good bowler but of course your fetish for running down young talent in the region will always shine through.3) If Louis is an allrounder, then an allrounder who averages 22 with the bat this season shows exactly how far our batting in the region has fallen!

Yes mike...just like Walton was a "better batsman than Shai Hope" right?4) The Windwards won't want Hamilton. Fletcher is a better prospect with the gloves than Jahmar.

Yuh understand how averages work, right? All dem not outs yuh speak of should be paddin his average, yet it is still only 22!AFRO wrote:LOL this statement just personifies why this idiot hasn't got a damn CLUE about the youngsters in the region ..if you actually went and looked at the damn stats you would find that he was stranded on not out at least three or four times last season which damaged his batting average because he was often stranded on 20 odd!!!...he's most certainly a talented batsman aswell as a good bowler but of course your fetish for running down young talent in the region will always shine through.3) If Louis is an allrounder, then an allrounder who averages 22 with the bat this season shows exactly how far our batting in the region has fallen!

15 innings, 4 not outs, average of 22, HS of 34*. So make dat 11 dismissals wit a HS of only 34*...distinctly average.
He may well be a talented bat, but usin his stats to suggest dat fact is plain foolish!

The boy just turned 19 in his FIRST season at senior level and unnu expecting miracles already? like i said he often came when batsmen were dropping like lies and would get himself in with some mature batting but then would run out of partners...if he'd gotten up to 40 odd in each of those four not outs his stats would look a lot better than being stuck not out on 15 or so.bossman19TT wrote: Yuh understand how averages work, right? The bottom line is he showed promise with BOTH bat and ball during the season....how many teenage allrounders are playing senior cricket in the region? not many at all.

WICKET: SKN 18-1 as S Peters 10 is bowled by Anderson from one that came back into him and took off the off-bail. Powell joins Jeffers 8*
Goat-mouthed by Afro....
WICKET: SKN 27-2, Powell 6 goes caught at slip by Cook after punching Stokes for a delightful 4. Saunders comes out to join Jeffers 11*
Keith, Afro...is Ross any relation to Kieran "Ducky" Powell?
WICKET: SKN (12 ovrs) 28-3 Jeffers 11 goes caught by Balance at point. He was looking to drive and the outer portion of the bat found.
WICKET: Liburd 0 is caught at slip by Cook first ball after the break. Was well-pitched up and moving away slightly and Liburd nicked it.
WICKET: Saunders 9 is caught by keeper Butler off the bowling of Jordan. Just on on-stump and Saunders was uncertain. SKN (16 ovrs) 36-5
WICKET: SKN (19 ovrs) 43-6 as Taylor 0 is snapped up by Tredwell in the slips off Jordan 2-19. Jason Peters 7* is joined by Louis.
WICKET: Louis 5 caught by Root at 2nd slip. Flashing drive played, not moving his feet and the outer portion of the bat was found. SKN 53-7
Batting allrounder out cheaply....

Is that the logic of the WICB now? Put out a crap team in an attempt to lull the opposition into over-confidence? Bwoy, you lot really strapped for ideas....AFRO wrote:LOL MIKE'S COUNTRY GETTING A SOFT WARM-UP TO RHATID!!..GOOD!!
SKN 59 all out in 26.3 overs as Berridge is trapped lbw by Tredwell in his first over. Not much of a workout by the English bowlers.

Frankly, is it not simply a disgrace that a team of sub-club standard has been selected for a match against an international touring team?
