According to an article published online, no less a personage than the Supreme Leader of Men (not my christening!) Darren Sammy has opined that, "I (him Sammy) just think people target Chris Gayle for no reason. :oops: :oops: :oops:

NO REASON :?: :?: :?: Where is Homer Simpson's laugh when you need it?!

Pardon ..? I done use Homer Simpson's laugh many times before on this website? So what! Is how many times Chris "Don-A-Gorgon" Gayle put his head, neck and both feet right inside the line of fire for a good kicking by all and sundry :?: :!: Answer me that one, please? Excuse me? Melbourne Renegades blank Gayle ... Interestingly, the writer of the article cast his net wide enough to be able to inform us that:
Somerset, with whom Gayle will take up a six-match contract in the T20 Blast shortly, said this week they were “disappointed” to read Gayle’s comments and would talk to the player once he arrived at the club.

“We were disappointed to read the report in the Times,” Somerset chief executive Guy Lavender, was quoted as saying. “Our experience of Chris was very positive when he was with us last season, both on and off the pitch.

It was disappointing to read the article. We haven’t had the opportunity to discuss this with him yet, but of course will do so when he arrives to play for us in a few days’ time.”

Final Day!! Indian Premier League, Final: Royal Challengers Bangalore v Sunrisers Hyderabad at Bangalore, May 29, 2016 Match begins in: 0:57 minutes & every tock of the second hand on my clock massages my ageing ticker with waves of gleeful anticipation. CH Gayle comes into this game with 491 aggregate runs at an average of 40.91 and a highest score of 117.

This topic looks forward to the match on the back of last time out when the storyline Gayle living it large; Kulkarni says, "you nah touch this!" came into existence. If perhaps you have some time on your hands while we wait, here is the BBC offering a game called can't touch this.

The subject says it all...Chris Gayle, living it large, scoring 5 today. Better luck next time. Wonder how many more bums on seats Gayle's appearance attracted? Sussex made 222/3 (20/20 ov)I so my bet is that he rather have been able to count a lot of runs off his bat than revolutions of the turnstile.

Somerset are 91/5 (11.4/20 ov); they will lose this one.

Chris Gayle has said his body "needs a break" after his second T20 Blast spell with Somerset came to an end on Sunday.

The 36-year-old made a half century to help beat Hamsphire by six wickets in his last scheduled county game of 2016...
"The mind is willing but the body says 'you've got to take a break'. There is too much stiffness on this body at this time," Gayle told BBC Radio Bristol.

"But we'll see how well I can actually manage that, how long I can actually last and go on to entertain the fans around the world.

"I'm looking forward to heading back home now. It's been a wonderful hospitality and atmosphere.

"Apart from the first game which was very, very cold - that was the only game I didn't really get a score. The weather played its part but we have no control over that."

After scoring just five runs in his first T20 Blast appearance of this summer, Gayle had said he "needed to get acclimatised" as quickly as possible.

He did not rule out a return later this season if Somerset - who now lie fifth in the South Group, two points behind leaders Glamorgan - reach the final.

"It's a possibility, we're looking forward to it and we'll see what happens, so you never know," he added.

"Hopefully the guys make it to the final and we can actually get a change to get a trophy.

"Somerset (will) always have a place in my heart.

"I like all the fans interacting, even when the ball just trickles to me and I pick it up, they cheer for that. It's fantastic when you have that sort of impact on people."
