WI needed to take two or three wickets early on in the morning session. Now it's dangerous territory. Will we be praying for rain again?

One wicket down...Kraigg out for 14. And we still haven't erased the deficit.

Powell out for 49. How many consecutive test innings is that without a half century? 19? If he's the answer then I dread the question!

Hetmyer force ripe by the selectors out for 20. The WICB going destroy this young man confidence.

Shai Hope out for six. You see the problem i have with this guy. His test average is 17. ...and falling! How long do we carry this passenger before we finally start expecting him to perform? Another five tests before we finally admit he is another Devon Smith and drop him?

Leaving out darren bravo marlon Samuels and Jermaine Blackwood for these guys has weakened the team not strengthened it.

Darren Bravo wasn't "left out". He's at the IPL and he's acting like a spoilt little child and isn't prepared to take responsibility for his own silly words

Marlons Samuels has been in terrible form, can't be bothered to play in the PCL and already claimed he wanted a "break" from Test cricket

Jermain Blackwood was failing time after time for Jamaica in the PCL and didn't even get a ton all season.

It was always a risk playing Hetty, Hope and Singh in the middle order and clearly it hasn't worked out. I spoke about Hope being in danger and personally, I'd drop him for the next game. I'm not a biased skunt like Massa Mike who wants to see people in the team despite their continuous failures, so Blacky should go in for Hope in the next game imo.

We're gonna see what Singh is all about now!!..if he manages to get a decent score and save the game for us then that should do him the world of good. The game now is in Chase, Singh, Dowrich and Holder's hands. The target has to be about getting to tea...then we'll see where the game is at.

As for Powell. Cussing the yute in his FIRST GAME BACK at test level for over two years is typical of the senile one!!..the same clown who is calling for Smith to come back!!!

Powell held up his end of the bargain!!..it's Kraigg who needs to get his act together, not Kieran.

8.50am Hello, everyone. Welcome to day five of our coverage of the series opener. West Indies are fighting to survive, and could find a friend in the form of rain. The forecast doesn't look great, but Pakistan will be hoping this is a case of the met department getting their prediction wrong.

From cricinfo: "Imagine Shiv Chanderpaul and Darren Bravo in this middle order and WI batting all of a sudden looks very competitive"

At least Singh is consistent.
Bishoo looks like a better batsman. The nightwatchman is out for 18 . Six down.
