Shai out for 29...we waited 17 Test innings for his first half-century. I "hope" we don't have to wait another 17 for his second.
Chase retires hurt on 60...oh dear.
Singh out for eight...another batsman who should not be there ahead of Blackwood.

That didn't take long...Dowrich bowled by Amir for 20.
Chase came back, was bowled by Abbas for 69. Seven down....
Bishoo out for a duck. Abbas on a hat-trick!
Hat-trick avoided, but Abbas bowls Joseph for a duck. Nine down....
Abbas gets rid of Gabriel for a duck...finished with 5-46. West Indies 247 all out, Holder stranded once again on 30 not out.

Chase's elbow is okay...he's got Babar, while Gabriel removed Azhar.
Gabriel gets his second! Masood out, and it's three down....
Bishoo spoils the day for the two retirees. Younis out for 35 and Misbah for two.
Pakistan 174-8 declared. Three wickets for Joseph.

Powell out for four. Make that 23 consecutive test innings without a half century. His test average remains rooted in Devon Smith territory.

Not one half-century this series for Kraigg...out to Yasir for six.
Hetmyer out for a quickfire 25...ah well, there's always the CPL.
Shai out for 17. I guess he's back to normal now. After 19 Test innings, he has only one half-century.
Vishal out to Yasir for two. I really can't see him going to England ahead of Blackwood.
Dowrich out to Yasir for two...93-6.
Holder out for 22...no worse than what Kraigg, Powell, Shai, Singh and Dowrich have done this series.

Blackwood averaged just over 30 in six Test innings before this series, and he was dropped for that.AFRO wrote:
Jermain Blackwood was failing time after time for Jamaica in the PCL and didn't even get a ton all season.
It was always a risk playing Hetty, Hope and Singh in the middle order and clearly it hasn't worked out. I spoke about Hope being in danger and personally, I'd drop him for the next game. I'm not a biased skunt like Massa Mike who wants to see people in the team despite their continuous failures, so Blacky should go in for Hope in the next game imo.
Aside from Chase, the other batsmen have averaged less than 30 in their last six Test innings.
How has the top order fared this series?
1) Powell 33, 49, 38, 6, 31, 4. Not one half-century.
2) Kraigg 0, 14, 9, 43, 29, 6. Not one half-century.
3) Hetmyer 11, 20, 1, 22, 17, 25. Not one half-century.
4) Shai 2, 6, 5, 90, 29, 17. Only one half-century.
5) Vishal 9, 9, 3, 32, 8, 2. Not one half-century.
Averages this Test series:
1) Kraigg - 16.83
2) Powell - 26.83
3) Hetmyer - 16.00
4) Shai - 24.83
5) Vishaul - 10.50
It's a pretty sorry bunch, isn't it?
Blackwood should come back into the Test side for one of the above underperformers.
