I just think he's over the hill now, we've got Gayle, Barath, Darren, Samuels, Nash, Dwayne and Baugh who can cover the top five positions, Shiv has been poor for over a year now and is not the man he used to be, he's a legend no doubt but no player can go on forever, fans like Mike think Gibbo will somehow drop a bowler to fit Shiv alongside the others but it just won't happen, GIBBO IS A BOWLING COACH after all!! .

We need changes man and sticking with the same old losers won't get us anywhere imo, it's time to shake it up and little like Gibbo hinted.

Afro,

Here is the Team test stats for the last 12 months.

Note:
Look how many balls Shiv faced compared to the rest. Actually, add up all the balls faced from Deonarine to Russell and see if all of them bat more than Shiv.

In the long version of the game, you need batsmen who can occupy the crease for a long long time. Quickies will not win you test matches! Test cricket is for big men! Keep them lil boys out until the prove they can duh the work. You can't replace a player until you have someone as good or better. Making changes for change sake just don't make sense.

How many of these young players will make a successful jump from curry goat to International cricket?

And who said i'm replacing Shiv with a youngster? :| SAMUELS would be his replacement and he has tons of experience himself, plus he's coming off a very successful Fc season, Barath and Darren have EARNED their place in the team already so i don't think anyone could say they are a "risk",

As for "staying at the crease"..well Shiv didn't do that in Sri-lanka, he got one 50 and that's it, also we've been losing with Shiv in the side for years so what exactly do we have to lose by leaving him out now? like i said the man can't go on forever man, it's time to let go of the status quo.

Why not pull up Lara's "stats" while we're at it? :D WE CAN'T KEEP LIVING IN THE PAST MY FRIEND!!, Chanders is a shadow of his former self and anyone watching him closely for the past year would know that.

1. Gayle(one last chance...step up our step out)

3. Sarwan (needs to take responsibility on and off the field)
4. Bravo (hanging by a thread...young Braithwaite is breathing down his neck!)
5. Shiv
6. Bradman Nash
7. Baugh
8. Sammy
9. Russell
10. Bishoo
11. Roach

if that makes you feel better ..lets do it  After looking at Shiv's stats for the last 12 months @ the test level and you said that its his shadow. Then lets get all the youngsters in Shiv's shadows too. Shiv should be the player/batting coach on this team. He can show them how to do it in the middle rather that just talking bout it.

How many of these youngsters have 3/4 of of Shiv's FC average? Not the whole thing, just 3/4... :)

Like i said before SAMUELS WOULD REPLACE HIM!!..NOT THE "YOUNGSTERS", by the way what youngsters are you talking about anyway? Barath is an opener so he's in a different position to Shiv and also Darren was our best batsman in SL when Shiv failed, the question is do you want WI cricket to move forward or do you want to keep losing with the status quo? you can't have it both ways, sticking with Shiv right now would be a backwards step IMO.

AND BY THE WAY EVEN THE COMMENTATORS IN THE TRINIDAD VS JAMAICA GAME HAS JUST SAID A MINUET AGO THAT THEY DON'T THINK SHIV SHOULD BE IN THE TEAM!!!..EVEN DI MEDIA IS AGREEING WITH ME TO RHATID!!..MIKE WON'T BE HAPPY AT ALL!! .

It certainly didn't look like that in SL  , and to be honest if that statement was true then we might aswell not bother turning up against Pak and India!!.
