What is bodi?

the cricket schedule is so packed its hard to fit within that timeframe. In March/ April ...IPL was going on, Aus/NZ, Eng/Bangal series

I thought yu were Trini Balloil!

is them long, long string beans, that lend themselves very well to curries!

you probably guyanse and I think allyuh call it by ah different name. we call it bodi or some such spelling I doh know fuh sure

exactly! yuh know de thing man! fresh off the vine, into the pot and is a real good eat! we used to grow them by the bushel :D :D

bwoy yu wun belive how expensive dat get in the westindian shop now. I used to buy in the supermarket where often these days you can find it. or from the chinse.

but they never fresh-ish anymore and too expensive! ;) ;)

you can grow bora/bodi year-round if you can supply them with adequate water. when I was groing up we had a seasonal rotation of crops.

in the dry season we planted veggies, especially tomatoes, cabbage, lettuce and so on.

in the rainy season we planted corn, pidgeon peas, bodi/bora...and a ton of ground provisions because its rainy season. we also planted ginger-root and sorrel

deh play too much cricket. some have to be cut out!

I suspect test cricket go suffer a reduction, which would not be too bad. too much test cricket is being played anyway!

yes...we used to eat the young ones right off the tree raw :D It goes good with fried rice and chow mien as well :)

yeah..I hear ya very expensive....eggplants they charge $2+ a pound... actually more expensive than meat... Ever tried em roasted ? :D
