An old man (like you) who saw the glory days up close is moaning about the current team? wow what a surprise!! ,

Barath only has one Test century, Afro, and he's still hasn't fulfilled his early promise. As for Brathwaite, he hasn't even got out of the blocks yet either, and I'm not convinced that either will be 'great' batsmen. Lil Bravo is another story....
Yes but he's also been plagued by injuries, but whenever he's came back he's got himself a 50 or above very quickly, he needs to play the four day competition and get into the flow of playing back to back games again, then we will see him at his best, furthermore what did Shiv do in his first four or five games? HE CERTAINLY DIDN'T GET A TON MR ENGLAND!!..which is why you writing off Barath and Brathwaite at this early stage is rather pathetic,

Pakistan are at a different level from us, Afro, as you can see from their current demolition of Bangladesh on their home soil, just a few weeks after we proudly beat our chest on our unconvincing successes at the same venues. Pakistan are showing us how to beat Bangladesh in Bangladesh.
Yeah they are on such a "different level" that we drew with them the other day right? furthermore we beat Bang WITH AN INEXPERIENCED TEAM, take a look at the Pak side and you'll see that half of the team are 30 or above, and you may think our successes were "unconvicing" but the bottom line is the history books will say "odi series WON and test series WON", and if you think our efforts were unconvincing lord knows what India's were against us the other day!! :| ,

Australia are inconsistent. They tied a Test series in South Africa (damn good!), and then were held to a draw in a home Test series against the Kiwis (even the lowly Kiwis have won a Test against the Aussies). But Australia are rebuilding, and they won't be in our sights for long. They will soon leave us behind....
So you make excuses for Autralia and claim they are "rebuilding" but you runs down WI for doing the same thing? OK MR ENGLAND!! , if you actually look at the Australian prospects you'd see that Hughes and Kawaja are garbage, Warner hit a ton but will be murdered against quality spin, their batting options are terrible and with Ponting, Hussey and Haddin getting close to the exit door i firmly believe we will overtake them within the next few years,

This March will be our best opportunity to win a Test against the Aussies, but will we? Or have we, as Pollard said the other day, forgotten how to win? If we don't win a Test against Australia, then we are a notch below New Zealand....
ABSOLUTE NONSENSE!!.. NZ lost at home to Pakistan the other day so according to your logic we are already a notch above them right? :? i'm pretty sure we'll do well against Australia, but the way to judge us and NZ will be when we meet them in the caribbean next year, and i'd bet anything that they will not leave the caribbean with a test series victory in their hands.
